I'm sure there are plenty of genuine football fans who support Utd from both Manchester and around the UK and I know they don't all live in Surrey. It is a well worn cliche I accept that but my impression is that the biggest knobs are from outside Manchester. It's like they have to prove themselves to the Manc fans and the wider world. It's also good to know about the fans you met that actually have some knowledge about other smaller clubs because that was one of the reasons I found them arrogant. In my experience, even Liverpool fans have some interest in clubs like ours, probably talent spotting, but still showing some knowledge nevertheless.

 

Dave you need to realise that there is a conspiracy, involving all Premier League clubs, and the rest of us not-606'ers, to ensure that you now have a job for life, should you wish to accept it. Probably your only chance of getting out of this is to run onto the pitch and go in goal, alongside whichever PL keeper is trying to stop JWP's free kicks. Even that is no guarantee against a 0-0 draw.

 

And, of course, you will need to set yourself up for whichever European competition we get into next season...

Redmond still unavailable? I expect that he's angling for a move in the mid-mid-season (3/4 of the way through) transfer window. If there is one.
Tino back in contention? Our new owners have bought Chelsea, and turned them into our feeder club, scouting young talent, just to pass them on to us.

People keep talking about Man United having far flung fans (and they do) but, in a survey of fans attending matches (a while ago), Saints had fans travelling a greater distance than those of United...probably because they have a large population near Old Trafford, whereas Saints draw from a larger area...especially as at the time neither Bournemouth nor Brighton were in the EPL.

 

But that's OK, because it's Saints...

Neither. Tino is great but don't think you can drop either of the other 2 unless one is struggling for fitness.

 

I quite agree. Similar team for manure I think, though they haven’t had much rest.
