Definitely be playing it again, will probably add 2/3 tracks to my playlist, pick the favourite tracks, after half dozen listens. Powder is a track I'd like to see live. Do you know Blueneck?
Debut Koffee album dropping next month Not totally sold on this one, but I reckon this album will be pure dope. What you reckon @Sucky
Elizabeth Frazer has one of the best voices ever. Used to see a girl who loved getting down to it whilst playing the Cocteau Twins. Happy memories for me
Mate, I yearn for the stuff like he put out on Malibu Pure soul and for me, akin to some of the best stuff that Stevie Wonder ever did. Now prancing around with Bruno Mars and having his avatar fed into the meta universe.
Probably an unusual one for the music thread, but a lot cleverer than it seems. As I understand it, a linguist wanted to demonstrate how the English sounded to those attempting to learn the language - much how we feel when we learn another language, total jibberish, only that is the twist here, with the exception of a couple of carefully placed words it is actually total jibberish, something to do with phonetics theory, so if you start singing along, your brain is talking...jibberish.
Can’t believe it was 35 years ago today this album dropped. Was like nothing I’d ever heard before used to listen to the rap show with Dave Pearce on GLR with my tape deck. Recording stuff like PE, LL cool J, Biz Markie and then taking the tape into school on my Sanyo Walkman to play to my mates. 35 years though
I love posting this, a real favourite of mine. Great lyrics, good harmonies. Not even a sniff of a record deal ever, they played local places and added 2 EP's to Spotify and then split up and went to Uni. A lot worse out there and every song by them is good. @Gessa @PINKIE @brb
A while back you posted something from if I remember correctly a local band to you, female singer, I thought I'd saved some of their stuff but can't find it. Ring any bells
