Had a look on RTG to see if I can spot anything about it, scrolled down a bit and saw someone trying to organise protests against the club. So I stopped looking. Hope they are working on the pitch mind as its a nightmare but I doubt they will have time to install a new one before the next match.
Someone went over with their drone last night when the lights were on. Looks like there’s work going on.
Aye that would make sense as the wings are really bad, does look like one of those Desso Grassmaster machines on the pitch like! Fingers crossed.
The video that was posted earlier showed them removing the top surface and inserting a mesh of fibre into the ground over a 5-6 week period. They are probably only going to do the worn out areas in 2 weeks. - nice tyre tracks. please log in to view this image
It’s been absolutely ****e for months and they get it together just in time to play one of (if not) the best passing football team in the division. Couldn’t write it sometimes haha.
I've watched videos of Sisgrass Ltd and its definitely a hybrid system getting installed. The tent is the machine that places the weave in. If you zoom in, the men are wearing purple shirts. Sisgrass uniform.
I think at the next home match there will be a stark visual improvement , however not perfect, and it will be the weave that makes it look better / greener while the actual grass itself takes another month to catch up.
I wonder if one of the reasons LJ got the chop was cos he was very critical of the pitch, which of course is really a criticism of Speakman
it will once the real grass underneath catches up. It shouldn’t have ever been allowed to get into that state but it’s a start.
We've come a long way down the food chain if we're hoping our ****ty pitch stops the visitors from playing their football to give us a chance.
I know, right! Was trying to look for a positive. Of all the teams in the division this is the one opponent that would prefer a carpet of a pitch
Just in the ground, the pitch looks mile's better, but as someone said through the week, the real benefit will come when the grass starts to grow next month. You can see where they have stitched the plastic grass for the natural grass to latch onto.
