My Preston supporting friend said that Neil would be a good fit. He got them playing decent footballing and in turn challenging at the top of The Championship. He got let down by Risdale etc over lack of funds and players getting sold behind his back. I’d certainly prefer Neil over McCann but neither instill a great deal of confidence.
