Ah thanks. That's something I can cling to for now at least (not that I wouldn't give McCann a chance and get behind him if it is him)
Fair enough. But ghat should have been established very, very early. And if it was outside what we can afford, then that should have been that. By the way, though it would also cost a few bob, I'd have went for Neil Critchley.
So would it be quite fair to say Keane was well up for working with a DOF was probably quite happy with the financial package that was being offered but the problem was that he would be unable to work with Speakman who seems to think he is Billy big bollocks even though he hasn't really achieved anything in football yet and this is his actual first DOF position. Even though Keane was happy to work with the DOF felt that Speakman would still be poking his nose in to the coaching side as well, and also Keane think Speakman is a dick head. That's just me taking a wild guess as to how a deal that was done and dusted on Friday is suddenly dead
Not a fan of him either However, I agree with him. Some major damage done and it's purely incompetence and poor leadership. Totally avoidable with a drop of strong planning and decision making. Ranks of people not having the appropriate experience or skillset to perform their duties at a fine club like ours.
The only thing they have done wrong is taken too long to get a manager sorted. The Keane thing has been blown all out of proportion by media and people on social media saying it's Done nearly everyday, when it's obvious now that's it's never been done
Eh? We have six wingers, not quite three centre halves, one centre forward and lack a proper experienced centre mid. The players brought in look promising, but it's so unbalanced it is painful to see. By all means take some of the recruitment away from any manager, but we appear to be buying promising young players who might turn a profit, rather than build a team.
4 centre halves, 3 strikers and Evans is a proper experienced midfielder.....he's ****e but he meets your other criteria
I was on the clamour for glamour bandwagon with Keano who of course also pulled on the nostalgic heartstrings. If he isn't coming and those in the frame are all the ones available, it has to be Neil.
That's been charitable. You get nowhere in this league without a proper centre forward and we have one. Evans has been very poor, when he is fit, and it was clear as a bell that we needed someone else in there in Jan. I concede the point on the centre halves, but nonetheless the squad is very badly balanced and that falls to one man. As does much else
The Board and management need to re-focus themselves. Our business is to win football matches, and, without that, any notion of "adding value" or "sustainability" is just pissing in the wind.
Is Defoe not a centre forward? Was Broadhead not scoring for fun before his injury? That's 3 We have 5 central midfielders now. How many is enough?
