Literally every journalist and ITK have said Keane was first choice/offered/deal agreed even. Somehow we've gone from that to Keane turning us down. It can't be the DoF structure, and it can't be simply down to money at this stage. That would've been established at the first meeting surely. So it's something else. As I say, ITKs are laying blame at Speakman's door. It's taken far too long regardless - that alone has raised questions over a supposedly well prepared plan, with contingencies in place and players/managers/coaches constantly being monitored if we need someone to come in. Somethings gone massively wrong. As I say, I like KLD, and I liked Speakman, but something up. Throw Methven at the game into the mix and everyone has questions.
Playing 2 vitals games with no squad die to covid for in his words integrity. No wins. Allowing Flanno to go (for his personal development ) whilst been tasked to bring in a replacement. Failed. Bust up with LJ that led to sack. Tasked with getting replacement in swiftly. Failed. More games gone with zero points and using Dodds and Proctor instead of English. Failed. No getting the first choice due to him believing that Keane didn't deserve a 2 year deal. Fail. Now back to the dross of other managers. Fail.
