Well... I hope you're right mate. He was great last night. Can't knock him after that. Hopefully he continues like that but that was the first time I've seen real quality from him with the ball since he arrived here unless memory isn't quite right.
Well I guess John Charles would be the most legendary of the legends who never won anything, although Leeds did finish 2nd and were promoted whilst he was with us. Lucas Radebe would be another and Gary Kelly also. You are a Leeds fan aren't you ?
charles won 3 titles and 2 cups in 5 years in italy remains leeds second highest scorer behind lorimer, was revered in 2 countries, equally great at centre forward/half,is recognised as one of the all time greats....when danny boy get's anywhere within a moonshot of this i will call him a great playerbut gary and lucas deserve praise for their service....very good players, legends that is for those that get a statue or naming.......leeds fan since 1968/9 length and breadth of this isle and beyond jamster so don't try and call me out
Dan the man was outstanding last night, loved the way he got stuck in and rattled a few of the villa players especially that twat minge Hes a very long way to go before he can be talked about in the same breath as our legends are. Hopefully, one day, after many years of service we can call him a leeds legend because it will have benefitted our great club. I hope he carries on from his excellent performance last night, time will tell.
Think I'll have to have a word with the top brass and get the ' Legends Lounge ' renamed to the ' Really good players who did their best in trying circumstances Lounge '
It was clear from his post match interview that he definitely prefers playing on the wing but is happy to do a job for the team anywhere. Top bloke, leaves it all out there and it's not his fault he was denied the opportunity to sign for us in January 2019.
top brass..... who the hot dog seller...........how about 'anyone who has ever donned a leeds shirt even as a sub is a world beating all time great legend'.....should keep easily pleased people happy
Instead of being critical why not actually give an opinion on the player in question ? There were many dissenting voices about the signing of Dan James and as far as I can see he's making them all STFU with his on field displays.
critical????? whoooaaa there in what way was i critical of him, just because i said i can't see him getting a statue/stand anytime or in my mind becoming a 'legend' does not constitute being critical, at the time of his signing i thought we had overpaid for him and that he had pace to burn with no end product (as backed up by my son in law scum season ticket holder) and hoped that bielsa might improve on areas where he was lacking.....if he carries on improving then we will hopefully see a much more rounded player than just someone with pace, time will tell nothing more nothing less, he is 25 so the next 3 years should be his peak one's...as for telling other's to STFU they have every right to give an opinion on any player whether it fits your version or not.... i would wager.not every whu fan are probably calling out zouma for his actions like it or lump it
Dan James (nor me) isn't telling anyone to STFU, he's making them do so by his displays on the pitch. For someone who's only made 16 League starts (+ 2 sub) for us he settling in very nicely indeed. Also he's 24 and with another 9 months to his birthday there's plenty of peak years ahead.
16 starts and accuiring legendary status ....oh and must remember the exact age to the day of all our players.....just an aside remember Wayne entwistle who once graced our shirt well I was actually taking to the guy about 15 months ago in my hometown bury where he is from also, I asked him about his time at Leeds and of any regrets at not working out for him at the time, he did mention something about he wished he had scored 1 more goal for us to achieve cult status, and a birthday card
I haven't shut up. Listen, he's had one very good game so far. One. Far from legendary status. Still has to prove himself as a winger. Up until this fill-in role, he was a winger with pace & no end product. He will be properly judged as a winger, and so far he's far from set the heather alight in that role. Get a grip.
I notice the plural. Apart from last night, when did he last tell me to STFU*. *Spoiler alert - I'll laugh out loud if you have the audacity to name another game. Perhaps a number of spells measures in seconds & occasionally in minutes. If you look at him in terms of consistency, he only ticks 2 boxes: 1. Pace 2. Failure to deliver
Seem to remember you being very positive after one of our recent matches. Not sure which and cba looking to be honest. Oh and for what seems the umpteenth time today, it’s my opinion he will go on to achieve legendary status at out football club. That doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll win the league or champions league though, it means he’ll be a very special player revered by all when he hangs up his boots. No idea why you numbskulls keep thinking I’m saying he’s already achieved that status ?
