I was funding it difficult to pick MOM, but those two deliveries by Jwp, one a first time hit were sensational. Probably should have been Broja if he scored the hatrick that was on offer
Dunno, looked to me like Royal was marking Che for the second and then just stopped marking him and gave him a free header for no reason, Romeros reaction is hilarious Ely came from deep but you can see Sanchez going nuts at Royal again for not seeing the run and coming challenging him. Like watching some **** RB playing on Sunday league where the other defenders are teaching him how to defend during the game
Oh and talking of those two, at the other end of the scale I thought Emerson was the worst player on the pitch. So when you throw in PEH being hauled off after less than an hour, and KWP constantly playing well every week, you do look back at the PEH-KWP move and think, yeah, thanks.
The Kane missed header from two yards. Whose high foot was it that seemed to put him off at the last second? Answer: That Emerson Royal fella. What an absolute mare he has had.
I agree, but this level of understatement is a bit like saying Pele had the potential to be a goal threat.
So that is what the rest of the team were shouting at me for during my less than successful career as a right back in the Peterlee and District Sunday league in the 70’s. Thought they were just being a bit over enthusiastic.
I was listening to Talksport on my drive home, and Jason Cundy was absolutely hammering Jamie OHara! Lol
It’s early doors but Broja has one hell of a career ahead of him. Ings is still a great striker but Broja will be one of the elite.
I've just re-watched the match on MoTD. To be honest, Mo El had a 20 yard stroll to get into position, while the Spurs defenders were consulting their 'How to defend crosses' playbook, and JWP served the ball on a plate. Their defence were still discussing amongst themselves what they should do about crosses when Che headed our third in. I expect their defence is still out there, deciding how best to approach things.
The better he gets, the lower our chances of signing him on a permanent deal. Recent talk has been that his parents like him being here. Let’s hope he listens to them. But even then, Chelsea hold all the cards as he’s on a long contract.
