Since Martin O'Neill left Leicester City in 2000, the management of the club has been a very bad joke.

    2000–2001
    Peter Taylor

    2001–2002
    Dave Bassett

    2002–2004
    Micky Adams

    2004–2006
    Craig Levein

    2006–2007
    Rob Kelly

    2007
    Nigel Worthington

    2007
    Martin Allen

    2007
    Gary Megson

    2007–2008
    Ian Holloway

    2008–2010
    Nigel Pearson

    2010
    Paulo Sousa

    2010–2011
    Sven-Göran Eriksson

    <yikes>...

It seems to me that even the new owners are as bad as Mandaric for hiring & firing far too quickly.

I feel sorry for the fans of the club - it has massive potential to be a regular and successful PL team again. It wasn't so long ago that my own beloved Newcastle United were in a complete management shambles, (and we're not completely confident the farce is over), so I know how it feels to have such disruption being created at board level.

What do you think the new owners will do in terms of attracting a big name manager now?

Crazy, thought Forest having 13 managers in 18 years was bad but this is worse. Not to mention our record over the last 7 years since the late great Sir Bobby Robson was sacked.

12 managers in 11 years is plain crazy.

Our new owners have only made one sacking.

Firstly, it has to be said it's very easy to say that we hire and fire to quickly just because we've had a lot of managers in the last 10 years.

What's often ignored is that the actual mistake is appointing **** managers.

Taylor - Arguably (and most would say) the worst manager we've ever had. Blew all our money on shocking players, destroyed a stable and successful club and our form towards the end of his reign was appalling.

Bassett - Got us relegated to the Championship

Adams - Did brilliantly to take us up with a transfer embargo placed on the club, relegated straight away, and after a poor start leaving us in the bottom half it was probably right that he went.

Levein - Given a fair crack of the whip, no money to spend again but we were in danger of relegation when he was sacked. Again brought some shocking players to the club.

Kelly - Just about kept us up but nothing more, the club needed a revival under Mandaric.

Allen - Signed some poor players but was only given 4 games, definitely sacked too early IMO. However it's unlikely he would have been here long term looking at his transfer record and how his career has gone since.

Megson - jumped ship to Bolton after just 9 games so we can't be blamed for that one.

Holloway - took us down to the third tier for the first time in our history, he had to go.

Pearson - Our best manager since O'Neill, revived the club in his 2 years. Was wrongly forced out to make the club more 'attractive'.

Sousa - Had he stayed longer, I'm convinced he would have done a worse job than Taylor. Ruined Pearson's work before him and lost the dressing room, leaving us bottom of the table. Has no future in managment.

Sven - The majority of Leicester fans think he was sacked too soon, personally, I will wait until his replacement is announced before making up my mind. I couldn't see us promoted under his leadership.

SO looking at that list, the root cause of the problem is generally the quality of managers which we have appointed. Pearson we should have definitely hung onto and debate still rages on about Allen and Sven.

The next appointment is **** or bust. We've been out of the Premiership too long, and with ticket prices going up and an underwhelming start attendances are starting too decrease. I dread to think what they'll be like if the situation is the same next season.

We really have very little clue about who the owners are interested in, they claim to not have anyone in the pipeline yet. The bookies put Martin O'Neill and Mark Hughes near the top, though I can't see the former coming. I just hope that after having the most famous managers in the world for a year, the owners realise that it's not your name that gets you promoted.

To be fair to our new owners, they have been brilliant up to now and have not only invested in the team like you would have heard in the media, they've done loads of stuff behind the scenes as well like revamping the training ground, investing in the latest state of the art pitches for our stadium, improving the infrastructure around the club and apparently they're ready to do up our academy so we can be a category 1 club in the Elite Player Performance Plan.

This sacking came somewhat out of the blue but we hadn't really played consistently well at all this season and Sven has made a few tactical errors so far. Make no mistake these guys are determined to get to the PL this season and they will make ruthless decisions if that is what is required. Only time will tell whether it was a good decision.

True, but how long have they been in charge and more to the point, how long did they give SGE?

Not very long being the answer to both in my opinion.

He had over a year and we have been getting worse since February. There was very little evidence to suggest we were good enough to go up under him.

We'll wait to see who we bring in but, if it's anyone decent, they should be able to get this squad promoted, and if that happens, I'm sure none of us will be bothered about sacking Sven 'too quickly'.

I look at that list though, and I struggle to see many names that didn't deserve the push!

To be fair, Megson left for a prem job, Pearson left for another job, Dave Bassett wasn't permanent, so it's only 8 sackings. Kelly was out of a desperation when we were broke, so not surprising he was replaced when Mandy came in, and Taylor, Allen and Sousa were disasters.

Of the four remaining, Adams was a tad unlucky, Levein failed to inspire, Holloway maybe should have been given a change in League One, and Sven, well the most puzzling of the lot for me.

Yes, stability is something we have desperately lacked over the last 10 years, hence our average record.

Also I've seen with Sven you don't play any natural wingers(out and out anways) in your formation..

It seems you get your width from the full-backs who are pacey and have great agility. <ok>

Can you fans clear this up?

We don't have any wingers or pacey fullbacks.
