Fair point IBWT, we do still have a long, long way to go yet. And we can't compare him to what TAA and Robertson have achieved - yet. But the likes of Trippier and Guimaraes just look soooo much better than we've had in recent years. The signs are good. There is a feel good factor again. We might not have done much yet - and there certainly needs to be some consistency - but Trippier does look like a 'world class' signing to us, especially given that we are in a relegation battle when he signed. Can't wait to be actually competing with your boys, but it might take a few seasons.

Our owners aren't American - they understand that competition is at the heart of football and that, setting up something similar would damage the whole ethos of the sport, and take away the spectacle for the fans.
