An update from the RSPCA who say Kurt Zouma's two cats are "now in RSPCA care". A spokesman for the animal welfare charity adds: "Our priority is and has always been the wellbeing of these cats. "They’ve been taken for a check-up at a vets and then will remain in our care while the investigation continues. "We’re grateful to everyone who expressed their concern for these cats."

France does not allow unvaccinated people to enter the country. But it was hoped that Chelsea could move the second leg of their last-16 tie to a neutral venue in order to use their whole squad. New rules issued by Uefa on Tuesday now mean that switch will not be possible. Chelsea will host Lille in the first leg on 22 February with the return leg in France on 16 March. The club, which is in Abu Dhabi for the Fifa Club World Cup, has not disclosed who or how many players have not had the coronavirus vaccine.
No idea but it does seems to be some sort of fabricated intrigue for the press. There must be a few players there in the presses mind that will make a story when the second leg comes up.
The whole unvaccinated thing is going to blow up soon. There is significant evidence that now points to serious negative side effects of the key ingredient to it. I read somewhere (not validated) that Pfizer are warning of significant issues to shareholders. I’m fully vaxed so I’m not stirring the pot here but there does seem to be issues that are going to play out eventually. If I were a professional sportsman with virtually zero risk of serious illness from Covid, I’d be reluctant to take the vaccine voluntarily now I think. (I’m not, I’m at serious risk of illness so am happy to take it). The argument of the greater good is diminishing as we realise that it doesn’t stop it spreading or mutating. The vaccine simply stops the worst of the sickness. (Which is a good thing for many of us) I know these words might be contentious - it’s not meant to be but at some point, I feel that this is all going to blow up - the govt. u-turn on mandatory vaccines for healthcare workers proves a point. While it’s mandatory in some countries, it will be necessary I guess but it’s not here so how football reacts will be intriguing.
Nah mate. Not a chance. Pfizer will be telling their shareholders that omicron has killed the golden goose. I'd like to know exactly what actual scientific (not bullshit) data exists to show side effects of anything more than we already know about which are frankly not anything out of the ordinary for vaccines.

Heineken, on the other hand, have said that they are disappointed with the player but are pleased by the way the club is handling it.
The vaccine mandates are pointless now , if they ever had any relevance , as Omicron will infect you vaccinated or not .
Very difficult to vaccinate against respiratory diseases, the efficacy of the flu vaccine is only ever about 50% at best. Fortunately Omicron seems to not be very severe, but other mutations could come forward and vaccines could very well be needed en mass.
Well if you'd been selling billions upon billions on vaccines and had an omicron vaccine ready to go and covid goes and makes itself far less lethal you'd not be over pleased either. However this is an era where facefuck/meta lost 25% shareprice on the tiniest down tick in active users. All Pfizer have done is warned on revenue as the coovd party is over. The US stock market is a shark tank and the speculators have panicked as per. Non story imo. They are a highly profitable business who had a nice golden goose there for a while. Did you know j&j have completely stopped making their vaccine? Nobody wants it. 95% of the population of the Western world are not going to suddenly drop off here cos frankly there's nothing in a little jab that'd do that after 6/8months. It'd do it after 15mins if you were allergic and over a month if you got the rare swelling stuff. I'm double Pfizer as I made damned sure I wasn't getting Oxford and moderna boosted. No issues, just did it to do it as I don't want to infect anyone.
Anything could happen yet but the omicron was a very great boon once the figures and not knee jerk politics were proved true. Hopefully it's continued mutations will keep it in the throat. The sneaky buggers main issue is infectivity prior to symptoms Really for me we are headed to the off season for flu so next October is the question mark as we see what's happening.
Well, that's not entirely true. The vaccines give some immunity just not a lot. Anecdotally, I managed to avoid Covid despite the Mrs having it... I doubt I would have avoided it if not fully vaccinated/boostered. Also much less likely to get it severe if you've been vaccinated even if you do get it. It's like the flu shots that they give every year, you know on average they're only 50% successful... Meaning, it drops your chance of getting flu by just 50%. Far from making you immune! Its still good to get though because if you DO get flu after a flu shot the symptoms are milder.
