So I see, a thousand and odd page thread on Keane which I have successfully managed to largely swerve until someone linked me to that post. Hope his next ****e is Mrs Tiggy-Winkle
Its total bollocks. Some kid on a wind up sad twat. Wtf would it be announced tomorrow and him not start till next week.
We need to print it off and send it to a psychiatrist for evaluation, there’s some very complex cases at work in that thread.
I have only left early on very few occasions, when we were getting hammered and no chance of even a draw. However I have sat, watching us be abysmal and thinking I would even rather be anywhere else...( even shopping with the wife). The last few games to name, but a couple and I was not at the 6-0 thrashing, have just about done it for me. I am atm having a new boiler fitted, by a father and son, who have been season ticket holders but give up last year... had enough.
The silence is deafening. The fans deserve a bit more respect - even if it's a short statement saying details being finalised and announcement tomorrow/next week/next bloody month.
Well obviously any contract has to be right, and Keane also said that it had to be right for the club too. But let's just hope they get this club working properly soon. You only really know if something is working when it's tested under stress. This is the first time this much touted model has been put under stress, and I'd say it is not handling it well at all. That is what my reservations about Speakman are based on. Far more than the jargon, although I have heard enough of that in my time to know it is very seldom a good sign.
Only ever left 3 games early 1-1 v Birmingham in 1997/98 season. Frustrating as hell, Magic scored with last kick off game. Heard the roar, was gutted 0-3 v Villa in 2017/8 relegation season. Left at half time as soon as Grabban (I think) got their 3rd 0-6 v Bolton the other week. Walked out at 0-5. Heard the roar for the 6th as we were waking out the car park
its the fantasy that gets me firstly - Speakman said this that the other and he’s done it cos he doesn’t like people who like clean sheets and Keane hates his philosophy cos he wants more goals and he might feel inferior blah blah blah. People who know ****. All making stories and scenarios up. Barking mad Then there’s the haters. Wanting people to be run over and killed cos the deal isn’t done by 6 pm or we lose 3 matches. Then there’s the flagellators. Never going back ever under this reserve team coach ever even though I love football and the club. Don’t like the passing style so much I’m going to deny myself a day out with friends Lunatics
Very good post, quite perceptive. It's absolutely incredible mate. Someone will invent a far fetched scenario, based on nothing ... ... then rail against it as if it's straight from the club.
I'd be happy to write off the target of automatic promotion this season, and concentrate on getting in a manager that makes sense long term. (Whether that's Keane or not I don't know) As right or wrong sacking LJ was overall, the timing of it was awful. I was optimistic that the management would have had a plan, that they had 2 or 3 priority head coaches lined up for a quick replacement, preferably that they had already sounded out. Up until now, KLD and team have been professional and nothing but praise for them. Even most of the transfer business has been spot on (though letting Flanagan go was a mistake imo, I'm not convinced by our new CB). But this sacking and recruitment has been badly handled. I'm hoping it's just a case of shambolic communication rather than bad decisions. Hope the new data driven setup include space for a **** load of lessons learned.
They could probably do with leaking it to build some positivity and calmness first tbf. Out of the blue will mean people are still raging about everything. Not that I'm suggesting they wait any longer mind!
Think we discussed this When LJ was sacked mate. I'm not against Keane. I do think he's a gamble though But given all the talk about Progressive management and football style. I would have thought we would be looking at the likes of Manning, Edwards, Lowe Cant believe the unimaginative names being linked. Just a list of lower league unemployed managers. If its not Keane maybe the club will surprise us. Doesn't look likely given the **** show of last 10 days mind.
It’s unbelievable you are right. People are getting apoplectic with rage at made up scenarios in their head.
