I'm on the fence about Keane mate, and only slightly leaning on the side of getting him in because of what he done for us previously and I would rather him than the other names mentioned up to this point. This last 10 days has certainly been an uninspiring one from the club.

It was deep in the Parky days (end of 2019) where I stopped going for a few weeks. Missed the Coventry and Blackpool games plus a couple of midweek ones.

    When the fun stops. Stop

Or maybe never been approached. The video below is a quick overview of his style and he comes across very well IMO. Unfortunately, I don't even believe he's anywhere near our radar going off the managers linked, but he should be.

I agree mate, he's exactly the kind of manager id like us to get, a young upcoming knowledgeable manager, very different to a Roy Keanes philosophy and way of thinking
I dont think weve actually approached anybody like we should have done though. All the managers that have been interested have applied for the job and put their pwn names forward which is why we are left with a very limited selection of managers to choose from.

He's precisely who we should have been going for in my opinion. Very surprised we haven't

    Sanguine.

    1. Sacking LJ was a knee-jerk reaction following the Bolton drubbing. Reason unknown. Had to be more than a single result though.
    2. Because it was knee-jerk reaction we obviously had no ready-made replacement lined up.
    3. Recruitment delayed due to having to start from a very low base due to '1.' above.
    4. Transfer deadline day pushed recruitment planning further back in the rush to get the bodies through the door (both directions) we wanted to get.
    5. Keane becoming front-and-centre the de facto candidate for the majority of the support ramped expectations up to, frankly, ludicrous levels.
    6. Speakman interview prior to Doncaster was deflating, no two ways about it.
    7. Doncaster result compounded '6.' in the eyes of the majority of the support. Caretaker 'managers' responses even worse.
    8. Cheltenham result squeezes a quart of frustration into a pint pot of patience.
    9. Lack of clarity, or transparency from the club surrounding where are in the recruitment cycle is raises cynicism levels to nuclear state.
    10. Whoever appointment is has a hurculean task to get us into the paly-offs with the momentum required.
    11. Internal review required in the summer to see if the model needs to be refined.

All imo, and hopefully without the hysteria which seems to be pervading social media.

You blamed me specifically (or people like me) who accept a win no matter what the performance is. You say we played badly and won and our fans accepted it. I say we were effective and won and I celebrated the win. What’s the difference to how Mourinho played?

As I say, what exactly would you prefer fans to do after a tough win where we don’t necessarily “play well”? Boo the players off? Get on their backs for only winning by one? Not exactly sure what you expect.

wish we’d played **** and won at Wembley all the times I’ve watched us there!
