Prior to Sundays game, I think most people would think it fair to assume Fergie would be playing a second string side, comprising of squad members and possibly a couple of kids for the game against Aldershot. After the derby game, does anybody think the team (less Evans) that played on Sunday should play against Aldershot as some form of punishment (no disrespect to Aldershot intended) as it is the Carling Cup, or should Fergie stick to plan A and play the squad members? Gentleman thoughts please
I think he will play a weakend side still as he will still be looking long term over the season. I'm more concerned that our form will give the shots that extra push and we could have a potential embarrasment on our hands. Games like this are lose , lose - if we win , so what it's expected, if we lose then at least our board stays busy (with wums)
I reckon SAF will give another run out to the young lads and the fringe players - would be harsh on players like Pogba to deny them game time just cos some of the first team lads played so ****e at the weekend. Tho' I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the poorer performers on the bench, or at least forced to watch from the stands.
apparently fergie went ballastic at ferdinand and evra for being ****in idiots on sunday ,also he was unhappy about vidic playing for playing serbia in the ec qualifier the other week. Vidic i think will play tonight as punishment for his crime also i would like to see pogba play full game we need obviously to win tonight for morale but everton on saturday will be a very interesting game and team selection might tell us a lot do not be suprised to see evra and ferdinand given a rest or thrown in blast furnace for a day or so
The more I think about it, the more I think it might be counter productive to start with the same team, especially if things dont go according to plan. Specualation Vidic might start to help/prove his fitness for the game at the weekend.
best badge in the football league! As for the OP, young side with some fringe players chucked in. Should win this easy no matter what team gets put out.
Don't think Fergie will change is game plan for this one because members of the started XI played like **** on Sunday. Would like to Smalling and Jones at CB though. We really need to figure out our CB situation and I think they're the future for United and England. Hopefully Pogba, Morrison, Macheda and Diouf get some playing time.
Quite a strong side out. Would be a match for most clubs in england every club in scotland, wales and N ireland.
