So, if he’s chosen Keane and gone out and got agreements in place on Friday hence Prehab and Wheatsheaf’s info and Keane’s knowing grin on the TV but then bickering manoeuvring amongst the ownership group has stalled the sign off on that then that’s his fault and responsibility?

If you read the post he started about a crisis, the phrase he uses is:

"I have been shot down on here for stating Roy Keane will be our next Manager if he accepts the job, that now is almost certainly in serious doubt."

That read more opinion than fact

I called it at half time. However well or badly we play first half often seems to be the total opposite second half. Always been the same.

No but the not getting a back up for Stewart, the weakening of a pretty **** defence and the imbalance of the squad is. He was an Academy Manager, he hasn't been in a role of this sort anywhere, nowhere near, so why the **** do we always employ guinea pigs

I think a couple of things. Johnson had strengths but his system and probably personality was flawed. They’ve taken a lot of daft decisions and gambles though before and since then and some flak is deserved on the last month not just the last 10 days ie the way they backed his system in the window and gave us few options for formation.KLD is young, Speakman not experienced at first team level, what needs adding is wisdom and experience (wisdom rules out Warnock who is thick). Someone who has seen it done it at a decent size club in a decent league and can hack the pressure of the fans and expectation to add to the green shoots that are being planted. Speakman adds something but not first team experience. Adding another young up and coming to the mix isn’t the right balance .
That said strong roots make strong trees and I like what Speakmans doing outside of the first team so far so let’s keep that and add the right mix.

If you look at the big German clubs who operate similar systems, its often well-respected former players who work in the administrative areas associated with the first team. Someone like Niall Quinn to work alongside Speakman would be excellent, allowing a young coach, such as Rob Edwards, to take over the first team.
