It's just sunk in for me. Tonight we were, for the first time in nearly 20 years, a proper top flight team. Fight, skill, a plan, players you want to see in the shirt, on the field. Absolutely ****ing buzzing. And this is ONE game against a mediocre Everton. What's going to happen when we have a team that can go toe to toe with Chelsea, Liverpool, Citeh? The stadium will be ELECTRIC!! This could be immense. That said, I'm still gobsmacked by how bad Chris Wood is. How was that the right way to spend £25m? Weghorst was £12m, and he's limited, but in his two games in a much worse side he's fought, battled and done ok. Now I can see why Crouch was taking the piss.
Cracking game and performance. People can **** off with the Wood hate for me. He worked his socks off tonight. Also played a nice little ball for the Fraser goal, releasing Joelinton at just the right time. He wasn’t great and missed a sitter but he did ok. He hassled their centre halfs all night, won loads of the aerial duels. Trips and Max were next level. 2nd half Willock was simply magnificent. All round it was a top team performance by every single player and as a collective. Fair play to Howe sticking it right up the naysayers. We look like a proper team. I’d love to see Wood to add a few goals and make the same negative ****s eat their words. Fans in the ground were excellent. Odd negative bastard but comfortably drowned out.
must say the atmosphere at the ground is on another level since PIF have taken over what did it sound like on the box ?

It was something special. You could just feel it. 2-1 up and he stood up. We have been waiting for many many years for someone like him. He had a colossal game for us and he brings the best out of Fraser. Then the freekick. Perfect.
I said this from the beginning and once he went off we could play. He was cheating. What a performance by the boys tonight.

It did but he was cheating mate. He had hold of wood and max at every opportunity. Once he got found out for it he stopped then went of and your right the game turned.
