We are definitely due a Craig Hope article that says KLD is Donald’s love-child, Methven vetoed Keane and Pritchard and Stewart have had a training ground bust up
If we were holding off from Keane because of his demands, then Spackman has to do the walk of shame tomorrow and give he what he wants.
Aye. Can't beat the process. It fills all those empty weeks in and makes them feel useful. I bet Boro are p!eased they spent all those hours and minutes it took to appoint Chris Wilder.
Anyway **** this I’m going to bed. my prediction is that Sabri Lamouchi is appointed tomorrow. I reckon Keane has turned us down and the club have seen the reaction to McCann so will choose the foreign option as Plan B to at least not appear “same old”
So, autos out of the window. Playoffs, may as well be a coin toss (if we stay in them). In which case, players to leave in the summer: Hoffmann, Doyle, Clarke, Neil, Roberts, Dajaku, Stewart, Defoe, Pritchard. A 5th season would just pretty much solidify us as an established league one side. Top half, but sometimes flirt with the play offs.
If they can't agree on terms then Keane is just as much to blame for that and is also partly responsible for the delay in us getting a manager. If they can't agree, we should move on. No one should be bigger than the club.
Can see this outcome mind, if it was all agreed last weekend, there is no viable reason to not announce it and let him get cracking
This is why I never understood the whole “promotion this season isn’t essential” bollox. It is unless you want a whole new rebuilding job…again.
This is up there with the Will Grigg saga in how to not run a football club. The lack of preparation has us more desperate than we were when the manager was sacked. We can now be held to ransom. Wage demands now will go up and we will probably now have to hand out a contract we didn’t want to hand out. I wanted LJ sacked personally but we certainly weren’t in a crisis when he was sacked. We have now put ourselves into a crisis. It’s beyond amateur. I can’t get over it.
Laughable that he's questioning KLD. I've noticed him commenting on SAFC quite a bit on Twitter recently.
Mike Dodds practically admits in the post match interview that he’s out of his depth and that its a huge step up for him moving from U18s to U19s to suddenly in front of 39,000. Says the players’ have been beyond unacceptable. Says he takes full responsibility for last 2 games but even before he came in it was 1 win in 6 so the players need to look at themselves. Not a happy camp. Makes the decisions we’ve made even more ridiculous if this guy is admitting he’s not cut out for it. This isn’t Dodds’ fault that he’s not right.
I agree, he’s been thrown in at the deep end a bit. The team selection against Doncaster was baffling but can also see his view about letting the players put it right…which backfired massively. At least he changed it tonight but we seem completely spineless. Whoever takes over has a monumental job on their hands to keep us in the playoffs.
But his credentials are much greater than Storey's and, of the two, it is Storey that is more like the "fake sheikh" that he refers to.
And Speakman can talk about process and succession planning all he wants. Dodds is out of his depth, he knows it, everyone knows it. Not only did Speakman not have the long term replaced for Keane lined up, he didn’t even have an adequate short term one. A complete failure in planning - which is the one thing he at least talks a good game at.
