<doh>. Look at the league. I don't think I'm the one lying to himself.

A good team is better than the sum of it's constituent parts. Good teams are made by time and good managers. Southampton, Palace and Leeds are good examples.

Good teams have both good managers and good players you can't have one without the other and make it work. Sounds simple but that marriage is so hard to find. I think we have good players that are mostly proven in this division and who, collectively, should be capable of promotion. Obviously now we need a manager to complement them. If Sven was given more time, who knows, he could have been that man but we will never know but now it is VITAL we find the right person to manage this talented group of players because otherwise there's no point spending money on a good squad.

You don't just have to find a good manager, but an exceptionally good manager who can work with a team he didn't pick out himself, one which is severely lacking in width and general attacking flexibility. Good luck with that.

The players Leicester have are no more capable of promotion than Ipswich, Leeds etc. and all the other promotion contenders.

It's not long until the January Transfer Window. Whoever comes in will have time to assess our weaknesses and do something about it. Then we have four months with that managers team. Therefore, they have plenty of time, and money, to make an impression.

And nothing but an exceptional manager would be acceptable at our club anyway. No taking a punt on a lower league manager for us thanks!

<laugh> oh wait you still genuinely believe that...

are you ****ing gormless or something? Sven just got sacked because he's clueless and was doing **** with the most expensive team the championship has ever seen. He had practically no limits on who he could get. Grayson on the other hand is doing a far better job with a Leeds team that cost significantly less. How does that not say that Grayson is a better manager than Sven?

Let's just put it this way Marko. I'm gutted Sven's gone. If we get Grayson, I'll be up in arms. End.

I didn't know you had something against great, young managers who can work wonders with a tight budget. No wonder you liked Sven.

Still defending a manager who did **** all for your club, just because he has a few achievements **** knows back when. He did **** all for England as well, but you still insist he's a great manager. Where does all this blind insistence come from? Seems you do this with all the big names you've got, you did it for Schmeichel as well. If he had a different surname he'd be playing in League One right now.

Well, I reckon Clark or Robinson would do a decent job for us. Would be a risk no doubt though but then again every appointment is. I think that would depend on who makes the decision. If Andrew Neville is involved, I'd say these managers would be in with a shout but if it is Top, will he pay much attention to lower leagues and focus more on the managers name? I'd hope he'd learnt from that.

Marko - I do think this is a decent Championship squad that is underachieving at the moment (how much that was down to the players and how much to poor management we will find out soon) and on the lack of width, if you were talking about us playing an orthodox 4-4-2 then I'd agree (we haven't really played that since Pearson was here and even he played 4-3-3 on a number of occasions) but I think we have the players able to play wide in a 4-3-3 and we've often employed a diamond which has worked well in the bigger games but when teams come and set-up like Millwall did, it doesn't really work because it becomes too congested in midfield and we struggle to create chances.

I don't think this squad is good enough to brag about being promotion certs (I feel the only ones with a squad able to do that are West Ham) but I think we should be expecting to challenge for promotion with it.

<laugh> still bitter about Schmeichel then...

Grayson isn't a good manager, at least, not as good as MON, Clark, Davies, Hughes, Curbishley, Jones, Keane and O'Driscoll

Every line in this post is bull. We were dead and buried when Sven came along last season and got us out of the s***. It's no exaggeration to say, I thought we were going down. He brought in some talented young players and we were majestic to watch at home on occasions and almost performed the great escape, narrowly missing out on the play-offs. Sven wanted to build a permanent squad over the summer, but he none of the parent clubs would sell the loan players, so he had to start from scratch. Even at that, he's brought in some great talent, but naturally, with virtually an entirely new team, it's taken time to gel. King's not been himself, Bamba and Mills, both great players, have taken time to gel, and Beckford and Nugent have still barely played together. Yet it's soon enough to sack Sven?

And don't get me started on Kasper - easily the best keeper I've seen in the second tier, his surname is of no consequence, and if you think that's why people rate him, you're a bigger muppet than even I thought you were to start with.

Keane? He's got a record second only to pretty much everyone.
