We’ve gone backwards the last 2 games, any momentum we had is lost, we are still in trouble. Fulham next isn’t it?
I was in the terry out camp but both him and shota are operating with a l1 squad. We all assumed doc would make the step up but he looks out of his depth. There was loads of noise about who we’d sign, other than the Iranian lad (which we know nothing about) we could argue we haven’t signed any better
How Doherty is getting game time is absolutely beyond me. He’s been a horrendous the last couple of games.
I think people need to bear this in mind. We are where we are in the table because of the squad we've got, which is vastly inferior to three quarters of this league. Shota was barely through the door when the transfer window closed, so he's had to work with what he already had, barring a couple of late additions. Coyle has literally just come back from injury, I didn't even think he was fit enough to play tonight, to be fair. Baxter being out is also a massive loss, given how influential he's been over the last few weeks. We need to get through the next three games and see where we are. If we're still above the drop zone at the end of this month, I think we'll be fine because by that point, the manager and tactics will be bedded in and we'll have a proper crack in the Summer at assembling a real Championship quality squad. I can't honestly say I'm arsed about losing to Preston or Derby, it just feels worse because of the results that came before it. Tonight was underwhelming, but it's the beginning of a new chapter/project which will require patience and time to achieve; anybody expecting us to be paggering teams left and right are just kidding themselves.
Needs someone who knows the league. What are Brian Horton and Phil Brown up to these days? Not a lot I don't think
Greg Doherty not quite at his best in last 2 games but now seems to have become the latest in a line that started with Malcolm Lord. We always need one don't we City fans?
