I wouldn't have anyone on the RW over Fraser in our current squad really, unless you want to put Trippier there in front of manquillo? Fraser works hard and is decent defensively, and sometimes his deliveries are half decent. He has set up some good chances for the likes of Wood and Joelinton, but they weren't taken. We definitely need to look at better options, but Fraser has good pace, work rate and is good defensively. I don't know why some people are opting to put Willock RW. He's definitely a central player. He operates best in a 3 man CM where he has more freedom to roam. He sucks in a 4-4-2. IMO, it's Willock vs Joelinton now for a CM spot. Bruno will probably be starting, Shelvey will 100% starting, so that leaves one CM spot. IMO - Seeing as Willock was contender for MOTM vs leeds, I'd consider starting him over Joelinton, if we must player Shelvey. But if Shelvey can be dropped, then maybe Joe and Willock could start. Maybe if Bruno is creative enough, we can drop shelvey and have two grafters on either side of Bruno. 3 box to box CM's really - -------------------Wood---------------------- ASM-------------------------------------Fraser ------Joelinton---Bruno---Willock------------- Targett--Burn/Lasc----Schar------Trippier ----------------------Dubz---------------------
The line up above would be what I'd hope will happen in a few games, but the most likely line up is - ASM---------Wood------------Fraser -----Joe---Shelvey---Willock--------- Targett--Lasc---Schar---Trippier -----------------Dubz---------------- I have a feeling Bruno may not start and will actually be on as a sub.
That's so English textbook. If you're fit enough to be on the bench, you're fit enough to start. Sadly, I think you're right.
Remember when we didnt even care about the games under Ashley, no nerves or anything. It's all back now.
I think it's more expectations. The sort of player Bruno is, he may take time to adapt to the league, so putting him straight in as the central mid in a 3 man CM may be too much for him. He's only 24 and only played in the French league. I think he should probably come on as a sub or at least play on the right side of Shelvey, so he has more freedom. Player as central figure in a midfield in the PL is a lot of responsibility.
Strap up Burn's toe and give him an injection, anyway thought he was two footed(all footballers are) and Bruno start, take them off when we're 3 up
If we're gonna start Bruno I'd start him RCM, not central for now. With the way he plays he's bound to make mistakes in critical areas. People are expecting him to tear up this league because he was wanted by Arsenal and was expensive.
Same!!! Trying to stay calm and got coaching until 8pm but I've told the parents to be there at 7.45, will call the session bang on 8 (maybe 7.58) and get rid of them asap then haul ass home and pray we are not losing by the time I get there!
2-1. I hope he starts all who are fit. We simply have to play our best 11 and try and be on the front foot.
