Good Morning. It's Tuesday 8th February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Is there a mutiny at ER?

Anxious Leeds fans took to social media in their droves to express their utter horror, having discovered a total of ten players asked to leave Elland Road last month. The news came from Marcelo Bielsa's Press Conference, where the 67yo was being quizzed about Crysencio Summerville, when he coolly commented that 'there were 10 players in a similar situation' to Summerville.

Bielsa refused to elaborate on all but Summerville, as his request for pastures new had already been leaked! It is believed that many of the requests were from U23 or fringe players that felt disgruntled that even though their injury list had hit double figures, they would only receive game time as a last resort.

Two names that have been linked to the mass exodus are Joe Gelhardt and Rodrigo. Leeds record signing (Rodrigo) is desperate to catch the eye of Spanish National Coach Luis Enrique. With the World Cup only ten months away, it is believed the soon to be 31yo requested a move back to La Liga.

In Bamford's absence, it would have made perfect sense to unleash Joe Gelhardt from his shackles. Not only is he the closest thing we have to a replacement (in the sense he is a natural goalscorer), but in a few months, he'll turn 20. He is not a child, he needs regular football. Bamford has managed just five starts this season, whilst Gelhardt has only been in the Leeds starting line up twice, and only when there were no other alternatives!

Summerville on fire as young Whites destroy Liverpool

Almost 9000 fans turned up to witness Mark Jackson's U23's destroy Liverpool last night at Elland Road. Crysencio Summerville was in scintillating form, orchestrating wave after wave of attacks down the left wing leaving the Reds constantly on the back foot. Jack Jenkins opened the scoring midway through the first half after Liverpool failed to clear their lines following an effort on target from Summerville.

Leeds doubled their lead with ten minutes remaining. Summerville was bought down in the box. Not only did the referee point to the spot, but Reds Captain Owen Beck was sent for an early bath. The Dutch forward dusted himself down before sending Pitaluga the wrong way. In the dying minutes, Summerville was clattered again in the box, and as before, the man in black pointed to the spot. This time, Max Dean was given the responsibility to extend the lead, which he duly did.

Leeds move out of the drop zone, and up to 11th, going above both Chelsea and Blackburn, three points behind Liverpool who occupy 10th spot.

Raphinha fit to start against Villa

Leeds journalist Adam Pope has revealed that Raphinha is fully fit to start tomorrow against Aston Villa. The 25yo was seen hobbling off the pitch during Brazil's 4-0 victory over Paraguay last week, but according to Popey, he has shaken off the knock, and is expected to start tomorrow.

Morning all and thanks for the breakfast debate Matt.

This Gelhardt thing is a non starter as he's been injured multiple times this season and as soon as he's been fit he's featured from the bench. Once he remains fit he'll be in contention to start matches and play 70+ mins. The amount of work our lone striker has to put in is quite unbelievable as demonstrated by Dan James in the last match and he only lasted 71mins.

Some good matches tonight featuring teams at the bottom of the PL <ok>

Morning all. Summerville was a threat last night but mainly because the Pool FB were awful. He had the LB on toast the whole game but he could have had a few more if je hadn't fallen over. We shouldn't have needed a pen for the first, he really should have finished it.
The headliners yesterday were the CB pairing (we are blessed with CBs), Jenkins, who's got a bit of bite in him like Batty but he can also pick a pass, and especially Gray who looks incredibly composed for a kid his age. I'm not surprised he's been on the bench for the first team. The kid is going to be a star. He reminds me of Gary Speed. Klassen worries me. I think we could be in trouble if we lose Meslier.
I was also impressed with Kenneh in MF. He works very hard and doesn't give the opposition any time, him and Jenkins bossed the MF first half. McGurk took a while to get up to speed and he is a very different player to Kenneh, he's much smaller and looks more like a creative MF.
I only got a brief look at Mateo Joseph but he looked a player too
I'm so glad I made the trip because I have no chance of getting a ticket for the first team.
The future's bright the future's white.

    Morning all,

Geldhart is on exactly the right path he should be on at the moment, if not further ahead with his age.

He is getting minutes, in between injuries, while being coached by one of the world's best coaches.

    Mutiny bollox

We have a bunch of top quality 23s who accepted they were U23 players for the season and with luck could make a breakthrough with some minutes for the first team. The problem is that we have at least 10 top players who are not playing.they train with the first team but thats it, no football except maybe 45mins like Kenneh got last night so we know he will be on the bench tomoz against Villa. Looks like Summerville will get football now but with the 23s . I said yesterday that these players usually average 17 games per season yet our ten better players have played between 5 and 9 and none has really played more than a half. Kids want to play and as an example Joffy when he goes home to see his mum plays football with his brother and his mates on the local park. There is no balance this season for these kids. Kenneh hasnt featured, nor Jenkins and a few more who have just sat on the first team bench without any chance of playing yet are not allowed to play for the 23s

There is a big difference between the u23s and the Premier. I don't know who the other nine are, but they need to look at the big picture and give their heads a shake. If it is mainly u23s well they can **** right off and leave on loan or sell them because I doubt that there are many clubs in the Premiership that would take them, nevermind give then a lot of game time. They think they are actually better than they are and IMO shows disrespect to Bielsa(who isn't above constructive criticism). If the story is true, it reminds me of those Italians and a few others who refused to play years ago.<ok>

I'd be very surprised if he was one of the 10. He knows he has a good future at the club and barring more injuries should get more game time.<ok>

I reckon it’s just clickbait rubbish Shaks. The u23’s know their place. Obviously they want more game time and some would like to be loaned out, but no way does it mean they want to leave totally.

    Nothing in this.

Maybe you're right, but wasn't it Bielsa who actually said that 10 had asked to leave to go out on loan.<ok>

It depends if folk are glass half full or half empty mate, interpreting what he said, he didn't say 10 wanted to leave, reading between the lines, I had it down as he said they had approached him for either more minutes or the possibility of a move/loan out. What the one's who love to feed the frenzy conveniently missed off at the end of his quote was, it is no different to what happens at every club. Not forgetting what a lot of what Bielsa says gets lost in translation. We have a growing number of fans, who just seem to want to put the boot in at every given opportunity, bewildering really.
