Who cares what income they have? I certainly don’t If they can’t afford to play in a stadium like ours then move
Surely rental costs are based on usage, not income? By implication, you're suggesting that we subsidise them. How is that fair to us?
How much would they have to pay if Adam had gone ahead with his proposed new stadium and FC have to pay for all of the upkeep?
City subsidised FC for years under the deal AP set up. Allam set about rectifying some of that which upset AP somewhat ironically.
Do people pay for leisure wear on the basis of what they able to pay or what it costs to purchase the thing they want?
That's more of a circular response than an answer. If they can't afford it, why should we subsidise them and not some other local group? I've had a bad month pay, can I have some jeans from you for below what it costs to make them?
There's community benefits to letting FC play at the ground, and charging them substantial rent for the sake of it to force them out seems rather petty and self-defeating. A strong sporting culture in the city can't be a bad thing. (Said as someone who can't stand rugby league)
At least you won't have a problem watching Wales v Ireland in the future. https://inews.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/banning-kit-clashes-rugby-colour-blind-fans-sport-1235686 Bit worrying that the biggest problem is distinguishing between red and green.
That would mean a second coin toss as I drive sitting upside down 50% of the time, when I'm not asleep that is.
Who said anything about 'substantial'? People are more saying a fair rate that at least covers the costs. Any community benefits currently come at a financial cost to City, as well as reduced sponsorship opportunities, and challenges to the fan base. It makes no business sense to subsidise them. Where does the line stop on which other community groups City should subsidise?
You're confusing substantial with excessive. Substantial in the sense that it is far more than they currently pay. Don't we pay a peppercorn rent to the Council for the Stadium? Should we be renegotiating our lease with them and paying something more substantial, seeing as that's only fair?
