Also, variants changed matters rather significantly. The vaccine is designed to deal with a version of COVID that has effectively been competed out of existence. Now, the vaccine still provides rather durable T-cell protection, but it no longer provides the level of antibody protection that it once did. The messaging has changed because the reality has changed, and at current the reality is that the vaccine still prevents some (instead of most) infections, but still reduces the duration of infection and drastically reduces the severity of infection. And yeah, it's entirely possible that a new variant could arrive that would change that, too. That wouldn't be science changing its story, that would be science reacting to changing circumstances. Which is how science works.
What's that got to do with the video I posted? The president and others saying things that aren't true in relation to the chat about misinformation. So they say something stupid about car deaths, therefore the other point is null and void? So a Flat-earther who believes that an apple is a fruit must mean that he's lying about the apple being a fruit?
Canadian government is now stealing food and gas from peaceful protestors, after the police have already booked up all the hotel rooms in the city using taxpayer money. This isn’t getting close to tyranny, it is actual tyranny now. Insanity. If the right to protest was being infringed this hard in Africa or the Middle East, America would probably be already bombing the place
The peaceful protestors attempted to set a residential building on fire after preventing residents from leaving, because residents complained about the 24/7 noise. The Canadian government isn't stealing anything from them. Questions have been raised about GoFundMe being used to raise funds, but that's mostly because some of the protest leaders are actual neo-Nazis and GoFundMe has policies against its service being used to promote hate. Here's one of the listed contacts for the convoy ranting about Jewish control of the media and banks, and dabbling in a bit of Holocaust denial:
I didn't realise the collective conspiracy induced psychosis that is gripping the US, had spread to Canada. Wtaf is going on over there?
Here’s footage from someone who is actually there: You are totally wrong about them being nazis. That is what the Canadian government wants you think. You have been suckered into believing a smear campaign of the highest order. The reality is that hundreds of thousands of hardworking people have had enough of being told that their opinions don’t matter. There are HUNDREDS of videos of the protests being peaceful, full of people from all backgrounds and creeds. There have only been five arrests the whole time, all of which were anti-convoy protestors. Gofundme stealing their money is a disgrace, and I am happy to see that they have already raised hundreds of thousands more using bitcoin. You are on the wrong side of history if you support the government facists in this matter. Did you think BLM should have been ignored because a couple of people destroyed some property? Or did you back their right to protest? I supported BLM’s right to peaceful protests, and I fully support the freedom convoys rights to peacefully protest.
Dear Jesus cut out the conspiracy theories. Faith Goldy was one of the speakers at the original convoy in 2019, organized by the same people. Faith Goldy has appeared on the podcast of The Daily Stormer, who are neo-Nazis. Faith Goldy has publicly recited the Fourteen Words, which is a neo-Nazi credo. Faith Goldy quotes Richard Spencer, probably the most prominent white nationalist in North America. Faith Goldy is not someone you accidentally invite at this point. She is Canada's most well-known promoter of white nationalism. There were five listed leaders of the convoy at the start. One was Pat King, the anti-Semitic conspiracy theorist above, who also suggested that the goal of the government is the eradication of Anglo-Saxons, because "they are the ones with the strongest bloodlines". Another was Jason LaFace, who previously ran a chapter of Soldiers of Odin, which is an anti-immigrant hate group founded by an avowed neo-Nazi that has deep ties to Canadian neo-Nazi organizations (and a lot of crossover membership). Another of the leaders promoted SOO on his social media: https://www.thestar.com/news/canada...symbol-of-far-right-hate-group-on-tiktok.html And there have been quite a few swastika flags in the crowd, too. For a group that definitely has nothing to do with neo-Nazis, they sure attract a lot of neo-Nazis and the neo-Nazi-adjacent in and around their leadership.
No. Stop being so condescending. You are wrong. There was one Nazi flag, the guy got chased away and many people that were there are saying he was a plant. You’re letting one or two bad eggs ruin your opinion of a peaceful demonstration held by hundreds of thousands of people. People from all over Canada are out supporting them. Your videos are much more akin to conspiracy theories than anything I’ve said. I personally know people at the demonstrations, and there is no racism or bad blood there whatsoever. There has been live music, love and joy spread around. So stop spreading your propaganda and conspiracies you left wing conspiraloons
Those are the listed organizers, you silly person. The bad eggs are the actual leaders of the event. The videos are their livestreams. It also isn't "hundreds of thousands" of people. It's about 5000. I happen to know some of the people who have been at the protest, too. Like, I happen to be quite familiar with Jeremy MacKenzie, aka Diagonola/Raging Dissident, who was livestreaming from the protests, because he's from my home province. Diagonola is fond of the saying "gun or rope", for dealing with adversaries, and routinely references The Turner Diaries, the foundational text of modern white nationalism. He isn't at the protests anymore, because he got arrested back home on weapons charges for waving a loaded gun in the face of a guy at a store in Nova Scotia, on video. Lovely fellow. I'm sorry, my dude, but you've clearly fallen rather far down the rabbit hole. I hope that at some point you take a look around at your fellow travelers, but given your tendency to double down it seems far more likely that you're a few months from being fully Q-pilled, ranting about elites harvesting adrenochrome from the pineal glands of children. Remember what I said about Joe Rogan being a means by which people get introduced to the lunatic fringe under the guise of "free speech"? You're the living embodiment of that.
There's something ringing quite right with your posts. Nothing to back up your assertions whatsoever.
You are nowhere near as smart as you think you are. You literally think you know everything, and anyone that doesn’t agree with your opinions is a conspiracy theorist. Standing up against immoral vaccine mandates doesn’t make people nazis or conspiracy theorists The fact that you conflate these two groups shows how effective the propaganda has been on you. You’re so quick to tell me I’m a loony conspiracy theorist, despite being totally out of touch with reality yourself. I hope one day someone tries to force a vaccine into you against your will, so you can see how a large amount of people are feeling. Maybe then you will have some empathy for people instead of being an unbearable smug bore.
I don’t care. I’m sick of both of you smug condescending pricks. You’re wrong. Both of you. Vaccine mandates are totally immoral. I’m doing you both a favour and telling you now on here so that when you chat to people in real life you can think of this chat and hopefully are more considerate than you’ve been on here. Stop accusing anyone that disagrees with your views as lunatics. It’s out of order.
I really don't know how to respond to that. I'm not a fan of Covid passports, and certainly not forcing vaccinations on anyone, but at the same time you're believing the stuff you want to believe and not the facts. Having said that, I understand how tiring it is to see all the comments saying we should accept all the restrictions on our lives to protect a minority of the population. I just think everyone needs to take a long, deep breath before posting (yes, I'm aware of the irony here ).
Who called you a lunatic? Did whoever you're referring to demand vaccine mandates? Does asking for verifiable sources make anyone a smug condescending prick. We're wrong I don't think so in fact I know so.
I don't think that anyone who disagrees with me is a lunatic, Os. That doesn't mean that there aren't some lunatics that disagree with me (there are also some lunatics that agree with me on many things; I'm not fond of them, either). You've thrown your lot in with a bunch of conspiracy nutters, white nationalists and supporters of the armed overthrow of a democratic government because it appeals to your sensibilities as a free-thinking renegade willing to believe what "THEY" don't want you to know, and you dismiss any counterfactual out of hand as part of the conspiracy. You are exactly the sort of person that these movements prey upon.
I think this conversation has gone on long enough. It’s been illuminating, but if there is any more personal abuse I will issue thread bans. I appreciate there is a tenuous link to the pandemic but it’s crossed over into politics and that thread is where it belongs.
