To me it does make alot of sense. We want Keane but he wants either too much salary, wants a 3 year deal or control over transfers - or all of them. We are not going to give him those so they continue interviewing other options until either Keane finally accepts our L1 limitations or it becomes clear the other options are now plan A. It would explain a lot of what is going on. Its worth bearing in mind at the very start Speakman made reference to "a new coach until the end of the season". I wouldnt be surprised if the club are willing to deviate from the model in short term but anything longer is a no go
I suppose if we're not going to appoint Keane, I'll be alright with Alex Neil. Just Grant McCann and Neil Lennon, grim....
If the club are just wanting to appoint him until the end of the season on a short-term deal no wonder he's not signing, I wouldn't blame him. Short-term deal = short-sighted view, shocking.

Wtf is this?!! Again it’s way too specific to be plucked out of thin air - no matter what anyone thinks of Nixon
I do not know what is going on and frankly I am beyond caring. I fear we are stuck in this turd division for another season. I will probably still renew my season ticket but may be an infrequent visitor for the rest of the season (probably).
Who is English? Also, I am surprised we haven't seen former Oxford manager (that Oxford connection with Donald), and former Birmingham manager (I think he worked under Speakman) in the form of Pep Clotet.
He's defending Roy - not that he needs defending about his record as a manager, 8 years out of the game etc. In summary - "He's an absolute diamond of a bloke" The usual slagging off of SAFC from Chris Sutton - he absolutely hates us
Remember reading in keanes book that he turned down the celtic job because they 'only' offered 15k a week wages. Seemed very money oriented in the book but it wasn't long after he finished playing and had no punditry job. You'd like to think if it is salary he would know our limitations of what a league 1 club could afford, so hopefully not pricing himself out of the job (if salary is what is causing the delay)
