I see rodgers has questioned hunger and whether some players are just ****.

The reality is this lot are never comfortable being favourites and will happily park 10 men back against us on Thursday and get a big pat on the back for doing it.

Under dogs defending the 18 yard line = hero's. 2mins per goal kick etc etc.

We cannot afford to drop any point here, Leicester losing in the FA cup is going to make the game tough.

If they have a **** season like it looks to be, I wonder how much Tielemens would cost?

They are rubbish defending set pieces so playing with 10 behind the ball is dangerous as you are bound to concede quite a lot of corners and free kicks .

So we will not beat the first man at all during the game most likely

    That'd be par for course.

Like Wright and Keane and mccoist going of trent's assist which was actually poorly hit to the wrong area and thus fell to jota. He was aiming for area behind cbs.

Jota's header was actually far better than it looks as the ball was almost behind him.

Think I read he's scored 5 headed goals, 6 left foot and 4 right foot.

Turning out to be a right little poacher.

yeah, thats why i get annoyed seeing him anwhere but in the middle. Firmino AND jota... no thanks. its one or the other for me. Yesterday it was like watching the invisible man playing for us up top as every time we worked a half decent position wide there was nobody at all in the middle.

Jota was wide left and wide right and anywhere but in the middle. He's a presser and a paocher. needs ot be central and running in to finish the others creativity.

proper bargain signing even at the price IMO.

he's now on 29 games 15 goals this season. 21 league games 10 goals and really only CL goals letting him down.

Ok salah has 26 games 23 goals but hi numbers are helped by pens and cl form.

given jaot is no 2 inthe premier league scoring charts and mane is only 2 goals behind him it aint half bad is it.

    Not bad at all mate.

And i agree he's a bit wasted on the flanks Considering how clinical he has been in front of goal.

His movement is brilliant in that box and I reckon klopp in time will cotton on thats his best position for us.

I posted a tweet of klopp saying basically that the old lads need to realise that no ones place is guaranteed.

This suggests to me klopp is starting to realise that the best of his cl winning side is coming toward the end and he planning ahead for it. Also perhaps his sometimes annoying loyalty to certain players is wavering.

Which i think is good. Like he's ready to develop another side rather than use this one to death.

Well it's the mistake he made at dortmund so he can't repeat it.

Hunger is something else as well.

You can run all day but not be too bothered at 24 just like you would love to run all day but can't at 34.

He normally plays CF just playing on the left due to ACON . Firmino is deffo 2nd choice CF now from what i see and wouldn't be surprised if he was gone in the summer .

I hope not. I wonder if Firmino could do a job in midfield. He often drops into there anyway, if we’re going attacking could have him behind Jota as Jota can’t come deep and get involved as well as Firmino can. His touch just isn’t as good.

Wouldn’t be right every game but could be an option.

Firmino won't go. Loves it here and can do a job for a number of years yet

Or has a contract thats bigger than anything he could get elsewhere given how his legs are slowing down.

Either way. I can't see him going yet.

We now have 2 of the new front 3, the only question is what does salah do next.

You honestly think it's taken him this long to "realise" it?
Just because impatient fans demand action and big signings every window and don't get them they think we're stagnating.
Why replace a winning side when it's still winning? If they were all past it and we still had no strategy to replace them then there'd be cause for complaint - but we have steadily brought in the next generation over the last few years, and we have no idea what is round the corner.
Just because we don't know the plan doesn't mean there isn't one.

Especially as Salah and Mané hate each other.
    Apparently.

Sadio Mane and Salah are keeping up appearance because of religion, Salah losing to Mane can trigger Salah's departure.
