Clearly I'm being facetious, impossible to argue someone playing for u-18's is better than someone regularly starting in any top flight. The point was it's about time we found some local talent and developed them, instead of taking £33m punts. Clearly we need to be better at scouting people like Ekitike, but when they're 17/18 and not quite playing 1st team football. All of this will come, of course, with an effective set up from the top down.
It'll become easier over time to attract youth players and improve the scouting network. I think staying up will see the ball starting to roll in areas that are currently pending.
