Roy your resume says you played for Man Utd? What league are they in? You mention Sir AlexFerguson? Who is he? The Champions League Roy. What’s that? You have been here before is that correct? Can I ask the tea lady for a reference? Are you the guy who’s best mate is Mary Poppins? For us in the know Roy I can explain who he is? Do you know how to play someone in four different positions in a game? Roy your team is getting taken apart and you get to half time. Please don’t tell us you change things around? That’s not good tactics. Roy you sign a player. Do you play him or keep him in the bench like we do? Ok guys you can all run with this one now
Ha'way, lets have your interview questions for Roy or the other candidates. Let's have a giggle before the announcement
We’re booked in to the Hilton at Watford. £96 for a twin room, free cancellation until the day before
I don't think its actually agreed But I also don't think there is any problem. I just choose to believe Speakman in that they are working through a process and it'll be done when it's done this week.
Fair enough. Roy is a risk, but so has been putting a very young team together, almost experimental, and probably so would any other manager be. But at least we know he is a big enough character to do the job. Many aren't. But as you say, time to just get behind any manager and ALL the players.
Is Roy Keane a perfect fit? No. But he’s the only one who’s been mentioned gives any spark of excitement. Lennon?~ yuck.. McCann? - yawn. Warwick? - hahaha. I think some up and coming manager might be fine if we were at the start of the season, but at this stage of the season the players need a shock to their system. Come on Keano.
Off the topic of the thread , but just remembered something from that day which is an interesting point. In my city friends car after the game he had local radio on. Dennis Tueart was being interviewed, and the talk was of the amazing 15000 fans - and the fact of how we sang even though just being relegated. Tueart suggested that for the club’s situation , the fans were maybe partly at fault. But in a good way- he said the problem being that those in charge hear such support and assume that there was a level of acceptance and nothing much needed to change
It was an amazing day like in a way and obviously ****e at the same time. One of my memories was a few of us crossing a road on Princess Park Way and a car drove towards a few of us. We had a few words and he jumped out at us with a machete. We all ran like hell like soft arses but I bet the story ended up with a more macho heroic ending from some folk.
