Agreed. This squad won’t down tools and they’ll always graft and work hard for each other but there are a few who maybe aren’t cut out for the Championship, especially if Acun is serious about a promotion push next season. There’s also a few who have the potential to be good enough for this level but they need to improve.

So we’re ending careers after a defeat against a mid table side but those same players beat blackburn and Bournemouth who are around the top four?
    Amazing

It's the EFL championship, if you're not on your game you'll get punished, the fine margins are there for all to see, I suspect Shota (hopefully) will have learned more about us yesterday then the game against Swansea. Few tweaks here and there for midweek against Derby, can't see there being many changes one or 2 perhaps, but we have to give this fella time to work out his best team and formations, and get them playing to how he wants.

Have to say listening to his interview on Humberside I was finding it difficult at times to understand what he meant, so I'm sure the players will also be having difficulties, give it time folks, we are a work in progress.

Most of these lads are decent squad players at this level but won't push us up the table. I personally don't think we need to change much but we do need some experienced heads that'll guarantee you a 7/10 every game. Need better game managers too as when we are on the backfoot we don't have someone who calms everyone down. Need an experienced centre half and midfielder in summer 100%. Most of these lads have a place in the squad imo but its whether they'll be happy with that or not.

I sometimes feel when he's asked about players he doesn't even know who they are:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

I'm not ending careers, unless you expect that team to get promoted next season. Admittedly, they've carved out some great results recently, but going forward and to achieve promotion, yesterday's starting 11 is simply not good enough. The new players will hopefully be the start of the rebuild needed.

Thought we were just happy to be rid of the Allams
Now it’s got to be promotion

Any talks of promotion this season are ridiculous. It is Acun who has said that he wants us to push for promotion in the near future. If that’s the case, I don’t see where that leaves some of the players in his long-term plans. I imagine we’ll find out soon enough when the club makes a decision on its out-of-contract players. The club seems to want to tie Honeyman down but the likes of Smallwood and Eaves may be let go.

For sure, the important part is done. There's no place for sentiment if you want success and this new owner knows that. We need to remember he's seen all this seasons games so he'll have a shopping list for summer signings to take the club forward.

A top half finish will be a good earner for me at 12/1.

The future's bright, the future's black and amber.

    No rush
I don't really like the PL anyway and it'll give them time to get rid of VAR or sort it out better

This. Weird that there were fewer City fans than last week.

Not really, Swansea, PNE, Fulham and Barnsley all in a short space of time at home, people are having to make choices, especially with cost of living the way it is.

So we got beat by two on loan players , Preston’s goalie who stopped great attempts and their premiership loanee forward got the goal. What loanees have we had or got doing that ? Baxter’s been ok but we’ve protected him well most of this season . It was quality

Whats all this continuous bullshit about 'oh we need to get an experienced centre half..' since the middle of December, 7 games, 6 conceded including a dodgy penalty against Forest.... there's no better way to learn your job than to be doing your job and for me, Greaves and McLoughlin are an excellent 'partnership' that many bigger clubs will be looking at, are looking at... what the **** do you want from them..!!!!?. the only reason the back 4 got exposed yesterday was a missing midfield (in fact that 2 conceded against Stoke was because of a missing midfield) ... you need to have a look if you're a City fan and think how lucky we are to have what we have and with AJ just coming back too...

Allams gone. New charismatic owner. New manager. Exciting new players. Three wins on the bounce with three clean sheets. Don’t think there are many other clubs who’d see a drop in attendance. No wonder people call Hull a rugby town.

With some people deciding between eating or heating with the huge energy price cap increase and increase in NI contributions, football tickets aren’t as much as a priority. I’ve got mine for Fulham but £54 for two tickets isn’t exactly cheap given the current climate.

Don't know how bold the manager will be this early in his tenure, but I think it's possible there might be a lot of changes to improve our passing and ball retention. I think Bernard and Docherty are most likely to get the hook, and Jones and Slater most likely to come in.
We might also see Walsh for Smallwood and Allahyar for Longman with KLP moving to wing back. Allahyar had a very short cameo and didn't see much of the ball, but I liked the fact that he worked hard off the ball and showed an encouraging tendency to get stuck in.

Always said I'd be happy with mid table championship every season as I really hate the premier league and all it stands for, not to mention the bias against "little Hull City" and plastics turning up to see the opposition.

Probably makes me no better than the Allams for having no ambition but I think I have higher standards than them. At least I care what league we're in

There wasn’t a drop in attendance, yesterday was our second highest league attendance of the season at 14,273 (only Sheff United was higher).
