The fact that Wright & the presenter burst out laughing when he said ‘no comment’ with a grin is all the confirmation needed…
This has been my thinking. He will have been booked in for these games for a while and probably doesnt want to burn bridges. I am sure today or tomorrow it will be signed. Then hopefully all of us move on from the emotions of the last 7 days and start looking upwards again. We need a line drawing under them and if this is the way to do it fair enough.
The Keane situation, and the defeat, can't change how I feel about Defoe returning and the fun we can have this season ... ... some of the best times, with this club, have been at the most unexpected times.
yesterday should be last time we see that this season hopefully when announcement comes it is onwards and upwards
I am feeling remarkably optimistic today. I have been a miserable moody git on here the last week or so. Today I have decided to forget about my own feelings on Johnson and Keane, and just focus on supporting the club and hope positivity rubs off. They do say it is darkest just before the dawn. Watch out League 1 I say, we arent done yet.
If those caretakers are still in charge on Tuesday night that would deeply concern me after the team they selected yesterday.
15,000 of us went to Man City on a hopeless quest and did ourselves proud ... ... 10,000 went to Man Utd, with little chance, and ended up in a Cup Final. Haway the Lads, let's just do what we do and support the team whoever that may be. I'm all for shouting the place down on Tuesday and showing these players what we can do with our backs to the wall.
the atmosphere around the stadium when it was clear Defoe was coming on was electric! I notice it gets to opposition fans as well cos I noticed them jeer when he was off target. He’s gonna be an asset I can feel it.
That Man City trip has never left me. Sometimes I cant remember what I went upstairs for, I can remember that day like it was this morning. You are right, we need to just have a spririt like that day and we will have a great end to the season.
According to the pessimists, and realists, he'll have a busy week sitting in the SOL corridor with MON, Grant McCann, Warnock and Mick McCarthy.
