Cheers! It’s not easy these days, I tell you, but thanks anyway. I’m relaxing by planning the match thread for next week ….. won’t be a patch on the current Cup incumbent, but I’ll do what I can! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Given the way I feel currently, my heatings cranked up and I’m just trying to keep warm and bugger the bills - I’ll cry over them in a month or two …..

I can't Handel all this posh music stuff. I went through a Liszt of all the composers I could recall Chopin the names about but couldn't see it. Any way I am Orff now.

John Lewis Letter to Mrs Harris

    Dear Mrs. Harris,

Over the past six months, you and your husband have visited the Southampton John Lewis store on many occasions, and unfortunately your husband has caused a number of problems. We cannot tolerate his behavior and have been forced to an exclusion order for both of you from the store.

Our complaints against your husband are listed below and are supported and documented by evidence from our video surveillance cameras:

June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking.

July 2: He set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals.

July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom.

July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, "Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away." This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3.

August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway.

August 14: Moved a, 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.

August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged.

August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, "Why can't you people just leave me alone?" Paramedics were called.

September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose.

September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.

October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, 'Mission Impossible' theme.

October 6: In the auto department he practiced his 'Madonna Look' using different sizes of funnels.

October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, he terrified them by yelling .... "Pick me! Pick me!"

October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed .... "Oh No! It's Those voices again!"

He also took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room?

    And last, but not least:

October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited for a while, and then yelled very loudly, "Hey! There's no toilet paper in here." One of our clerks passed out.

Just finished binging the Reacher series on Amazon.
Well worth a watch. Alan Ritchson is excellent as Reacher, sooooooooo much better than Tom Cruise.
Also a good reminder of the book it was based on, possibly the best in the Reacher series.

I’m halfway through and I agree, a million times better than the two films with Cruise.

The earlier books are better than the later offerings.
The first book, The Killing Floor, is the one being serialised on Amazon and, IMO, possibly the best.
Try the first one and see what you think.

They vary between better than average and superb. Some are out and out non-stop action, some are more intellectual, and a few are really dark. Reacher is basically Clint Eastwood in the “Fistful of Dollars” movies but 6’5” and 250lb and wandering around present day America righting wrongs.

As Badger says, read them in order, starting with The Killing Floor, which is quite faithfully interpreted on Amazon right now.

I've seen Ritchson in a few things over the years, I remember him as Aquaman in Smallville and his character in blue mountain state then as hawk in Titans. Always thought his dialect as quite wooden. I'll give this a watch though.

He was born to play Jack Reacher, who isn’t supposed to be particularly eloquent.

Would any of you be interested in a ride in a helicopter for 4 people? I'm still looking for 2 more adults to join us. We leave early Saturday morning (February 12th) from Gatwick airport and will fly to the Isle of White where we will have breakfast, then have lunch on a yacht.
Then we’ll do a flight over the Coast, returning to the isle for dinner. If interested, please message me.
Preferably someone with a helicopter and yacht, otherwise we can't go...
