Yes mate, been there 4 times , diving Scapa Flow, strange but hospitable folk, once they've weighed you up. Had a few fun nights in the only night club on the island, well it was at the time. We get em here now and again mate, but due to light pollution from cities theyre pretty weak. If you go off on a hike you can catch em and its pretty beautiful. But for the intense truly magnificent ones you need to go up to North Norway, closer to the pole. I have a mate who did it and he said it was amazing.
Its 7.60 for a glass og local IPA, not a pint. A glass. Theres a bar or two in Stavanger here which on Wednesdays makes a loss per beer by selling half a pint for £3.60, but thats only one type of beer a brand called Tou. Theres a very popular bar on the water front that sells prosecco 50% off on Wednesdays too. Wednesday in Stavanger is called "Andre Lørdag" or second saturday.
I've seen it decent standing on South Shields beach, mate. On a good night in the North of Scotland it can be magical.
You can catch it in some parts of Scotland along the coastline somewhere up in sticks might be worth looking at not many Scottish people around them ends…well away from the cities so you should be ok
Sucky don't wanna go to Scotland I reckon that would be a good craic up there. Cold yeah, but get yourself in some old ale house with a roaring fire afterwards. Well up for that sort of thing.
