Utterly deflated, frustrating and still incredibly angry at the handling of everything today.
Firstly Speakmans ridiculously Ill thought out interview
Secondly the line up was frankly pathetic
The performance even more so
Dodds post match interview was insulting and embarrassing.
Frankly an entirely **** day all round

 

It was our fault for allowing ourselves to be excited for a day.

 

I really should know better being sucked in with optimIsm by Defoe, the Keano talk and the big crowd.

 

I’d like to see something like this:

Hoffman
Hume Batth Doyle Cirkin
Matete Winchester
Roberts Pritchard Clarke
Stewart

 

Cirkin is terrible btw

He's had a poor couple of games but has been very good other than that

 

I will give a chance to Patto. The Hoff has been crap last few games

 

This. He’s definitely not terrible, good signing who we’ll make profit on eventually.

 

Has he? Massively flatters to deceive

Positionally he’s all over the place, even worse at wingback

 

Totally deflated after that first half today, it’s as bad as I’ve seen! 2nd half a lot better but you can’t be chasing games! Tbh as a team were too predictable, basically lump it forward to Stewart and if it works brilliant if not we struggle!

 

And even longer if it's not Keane and some chump.

 

He's not a wing back, so maybe there's the issue.

If you look back at the games earlier in the season he was always making blocks on the line and interceptions. His positioning is excellent

 

Either Clarke or Dujaku has to play otherwise no one runs in behind and we end up getting Ross drifting wide

 

Wouldn’t disagree at all with that. Was surprised we weren’t linked with a ‘keeper once the Burge news came out

 

Makes sense to me, sure we have attacking flair but we’re not taking our chances anyway.

Need to start with the basics fist. If playing two CH then also play two full backs who play there naturally. Not shoehorn Gooch or someone else in there just for the sake of it.

Hopefully Matete would give some extra cover the the back two.

Of his last 9 starts we’ve won 1

 

We’ve also got 5 points in those games. Our good run over Christmas came when he wasn’t in the side

 

We have to find a starting place for Roberts, Matete and Clarke imo.

 

Also conceded 24 goals in those 9 games

it’s not surprising Doyle is looking shaky he’s having to drift wide to cover for Cirkin far too often
