said on deadline day letting Flanagan go without a replacement is criminal mind, and i dont even like Flanagan.!! Doyle looks shot , batth certainty is not filling me with confidence, and the Wright and Arby not even on the bench . WTF was the thinking??
Wright injured mate. I agree about letting Flannagan go, it is poor thinking. I wonder if they had a replacement but when Gooch wouldnt go they didnt have enough salary allowance left. Whatever we are very short there. Johnson said we couldnt expect to play 3 at the back when we have all the attacking wide men and that makes sense. So to keep doing it is muddled. I think we have boxed ourselves into a corner in terms of the formation we can play. IMO we need to go 433 and quickly. I dont see any other formation working unfortunately
sorry lads should of worded that better , yeah i no Wright is injured and lets face it not really surprising as he often gets injuries , which makes it even more baffling in letting Flanagan leave. atm there just seems to be no game plan . sick of the sight of seeing Gooch in a safc shirt tbh .
When you look at most of the players application it makes no difference what formations you play ,playing like that we are going to struggle till they sort their heads out -end of story
My instinct is to go 4 3 3 with a more solid 3 in midfield, but then I’m not sure where that leaves Pritchard who is maybe our best player .
I really think Pritchard could play in the first three. He is savvy enough and a niggle sod. Him and Evans and Mattete. When we have it he can go and play as a 10. When we lose it he sets the press.
Realise we have to have somebody in the dugout but we have some experienced players who would probably have a better insight in to what is required till someone is appointed- got to be better than what we experienced today . LJ was all about having player involvement so why not utilise their knowledge, let’s be honest it couldn’t be any worse than what we saw today .
Is that based on the interview on the website? I think that's just the club playing things with a straight bat and not giving in to all the speculation. Am confident based on what I've read on here and what Keane said last night
Praying for some positive news on this (not to sound too desperate). Today’s result/performance confirmed for me that Keano is the only man for it. Need a real rise in standards and to stop feeling sorry for ourselves every time we get beat. Haway the ITKs
If Keane was watching that game it probably makes it more likely that he joins us. He will know our squad is far better than these recent displays and he will be sure he can get them playing as we all think they can. He will come out of this as someone who has turned everything around and worked a miracle just like Sam did and also how he did first time round. It will give his reputation a huge boost. If we had won today as expected, 4-5-6 or more to nil, people would have thought its all LJ’s fault and he (Keane) would make less of an impact but losing means it can only get better. I hope. Be honest, most of us on here could have picked a better team and could tell them what they are doing wrong so it will be a doddle for somebody like Keane to put right.
keane or not, the owners have stated they are always looking at coaches as they are always looking at players, it might be ok for the odd player transfer to throw a few red herrings and keep us all guessing but just say it is either on or not ffs and get the next choice in so he can work with the players...have never known a club to have so much speculation going on, transfers seemed to drag on forever and i honestly thought those days were behind us, yes i am still in a mood!!
I'm still fooking fewming FFS. Data analysis my fooking arse. Get Keano in now and stop all this nancy boy modern ***got shìte.
We're overloaded the squad with attacking midfielders and tippy tappy no.10s with no substance. Evans is the only defensive midfielder and even he is weak as piss. That shot he had at the end....my 11 year old daughter could have put more power behind it. No idea what the answer is. Do we sacrifice some attacking flair to solidify things at the back? Hoffmann Hume Wright Bathh Cirkin Evans Matete Winchester Clarke Stewart Roberts Does that give us more physicality? **** me, when we fall we fall hard
Or do we go 3 at the back (which is a risk considering we only have 4 CBs) Hoffmann Wright Bathh Doyle Hume Matete Neil Cirkin Pritchard Stewart Defoe
I wish I felt flat, as it is I'm ****ing pissed off. That bullshit today got my blood up. I suspect I'm not going to entirely calm down until we get Keane in.
