Yeah I can't tempt my missus with any of it for the same reason mate. It's okay though, she's got the travel bug as much as me, so we're defo planning another big trip in the next couple of years. Got some great little local trips planned for this year though, will just be nice to get away with the fam and the dog and go on some adventures
Googled it a spin the wheel bar in Iceland... https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Resta...ws-Lebowski_bar-Reykjavik_Capital_Region.html
Needs to be September onwards to see em in Norway. But I'm sure that's not the case in Iceland. Will have a look bro ta
all the scandinavian countries are expensive. The money is distributed more fairly across it's people so everyone has more disposable income. Not sure if thats the reason why though but i think a standard pizza at the supermarket was like 15 quid i heard. Likewise a pint in iceland is like 10 quid i think.
10 quids probably what you pay for a club in london, not a ****ty pub. (just googled its like 7 quid for a half pint for domestic beer). as for the northern lights, i went on 2 ****ty day and it looked like absolute **** (looks good when people take a photo and enhance it). Be great to see the real thing but i been to iceland twice and i was not impressed by the "northern lights"
Unless you got loads of dosh mate, I'd give it a miss, better off enjoying yourself in Dam, no guarantee you will see the Northern Lights even if you pay for the trip.
Sorry to hear that bro, try the Paradise Coffee Shop off Dam Square next time. You won't be disappointed.
it was proper ****, was just cold and literally a few wispy bits in the sky . I think you really have to time it to be a good time to see it (like loads of solar activity) else you might as well just stare at clouds in the sky
@Welshie how often do you see northern lights bro and is it as good as it looks in the photos if you see a decent one?
Yeah Dam is good, but you've been before right ? Dunno what the airline industry looks like post Covid, but a couple of years ago you could get flights to Los Angeles for around £250 rtn That's a proper adventure
