    We were struggling in midfield, so under what circumstances do we bring on Huddlestone?

    I dont think it was a game for Tom. They were playing around the midfield and I thought he'd bring Walsh on. But then SA gets paid the bucks and I'm sure today was a lesson for him.

    We now have strikers, Huddlestone could feed them from anywhere on the pitch, otherwise why have him on the bench?

    None of the subs did anything to impress.

    The Norwegian lad was completely anonymous.

    The Iranian lad got involved a couple of times but was only given five minutes.

    Jones was unchallenged to be honest.

    I don’t think we’ll see much of Huddlestone under Shota. He was very much a McCann/Allam signing and I think the new manager wants a midfield with legs. From what I’ve heard about Walsh, he seems to be quite agile.

    As expected, since we don’t have any Norwegians in the squad.

    Two observations regarding the match:

    1/ The woodwork was on our side;

    2/ We made some very poor, half-hearted passes.

    Just read the Preston forum, quite complimentary about the team and also saying that the difference between the two teams today was their keeper (on loan form Leicester) who they thought made two worldies and Archer (on loan from Aston Villa) who's the nest striker they've had in years but will never be able too afford..

    No you could tell the difference and we sounded ok until they scored.
    To be fair I don’t know what it normally sounds like on telly when we’re at home because I’m normally there
