“” and so certain to happen”” Quite incredibly , that seems to be the case . How many times over the years , when we think we are on a confident high , does the fixture list put us against the bottom useless team who come off the pitch as comfortable winners over us . How many times now have I said “ I knew I should have got a bet on - because we always seem to do it “
Even when you hate it you love it, but i won't go back until i see the players putting the same effort in the fans put in, hopefully that will be soon.
I never understand why interim or caretaker managers do exactly the same as the person they have replaced. It’s always a free hit for them if they were thought to be good enough to have the position they’d be given it outright straight away so have a go what have you got to lose? Dodds today had a chance to freshen up and change the style and intensity that totally let us down last weekend, with new players available to come in there’s no excuse for doing everything the same. Even his interview was the same script as LJ came out with after a loss The team needs a freshen up too many players aren’t challenged and think they will be playing every week regardless of performance
Funnily enough I think todays match will finally be the turning point and fans will look back to this Doncaster game and think not so quick.
we started the season making good forward runs and were making the passes to them, i have no idea why that has changed but slowly we resorted to those passes around the 18 yard box then a hoof upfield...early in that game and bolton, while we were playing it forward along the deck we looked ok, we don't get the best views on the stream but how many times were the fans screaming for the forward pass (it must have been on) and they went backwards.
I was level with half way line , and it was time after time . They took so long , I’m sure other players having made but then lost an opportunity to receive the ball , were disillusioned from bothering to make a second position.
Prior to hid injury Broadhead constantly moved about for a pass and more often than not he was ignored.
I hope you’re right - but I thought today was the day we’d put the habit to bed ( my post #56) Howvering was I !
Early days and am speaking with some emotion but Batth looks a massive ****ing downgrade on Flanagan. Absolutely woeful. We seem to have weakened the defence in the space of a couple of weeks
Sunderland Association Football Club Great Club. Fantastic Fans ****e Players Sums it up. Whoever picked that side today wants anally raping till his nose bleeds. Hopefully someone like Keane can come in and point out what it takes to be a professional footballer at any level, let alone League 1. Absolute embarrassment to the club.
