Half-time player ratings Max O'Leary - 5 Tomas Kalas - 5 Timm Klose - 6 Cam Pring - 5 Jay Dasilva - 6 Callum O'Dowda - 4 Alex Scott - 5 Han-Noah Massengo - 6 Andi Weimann - 5 Antoine Semenyo - 6 Chris Martin - 4
Pring caught out, poorly defended, now 3 down.. poor defending has let us down in dreadful conditions that we are not coping with.. Massengo still by far our best player on the day. Non stop running, chasing and trying to create us chances..
Running out of ideas, lost all composure and rhythm to our game.. Blackpool now comfortable and could easily get more.
The comparison of performance from last week v Preston is chalk & cheese.. just not at the races today.. I feel for the 1000 fans that made the trip!!
I decided on a sleep in today and forgo watching the match to give my heart a rest. It looks like my decision making was right and we served up another plate of dross again today so now I can get back to my morning coffee and watch some decent football. There is something about us that doesn't like the word success or winning and the way we go about our business is almost a joke which, if I were Nigel, would concern me for my future at the club.
It’s why we have to get more points when we play well, as there are always going to days like today when we don’t.
His goal I think was his only touch. Poor defending and decision making was our downfall today.. Irony, we looked the better side until they scored!!
Had Semenyo scored his half chance, might have been a different game.. two goals in the matter of minutes took away any rhythm we had. Before that, we were moving the ball well and looked in control.. From when they scored we were on the back foot and our quick short passing resorted in longer hopeful balls that Blackpool easily dealt with.. like you said, bad day at the office and we need to learn from our mistakes.. Reading will be an interesting game to see if our confidence has been dented..
