Now, also because the Times reviewed them positively today, I looked at a few of their songs on YouTube. Don’t get it. But as long as somebody does that’s fine!
Sounding a bit Divine Comedy on this track, but it's very good....bit dark, but in an upbeat way So many good tracks on this album. So glad I got to see them prior to Covid - it won't be the same without his voice now
Pop-punk - Chaise Longue is the biggie, but I prefer this one... You should check out Pip Blom, Dry Cleaning and Porridge Radio....there's a whole pile of female led bands knocking out some great music at the moment
Oddly I’m listening to a lot of female leads at the moment, from wildly different eras and genres - Joan Armatrading, Lisa Hannigan, St Étienne….
Tasty. But Aussie punk? Somehow these guys evolved at exactly the same time as the Ramones and just before the Pistols and the Clash in Brisbane….outstanding, buzz saw guitars, sneering vocals, amphetamine pace…just the fashion and the haircuts missing. Gigs were so rowdy no one would book them so they turned the house where they dossed into a club….
They are support for some of midnight oils upcoming final tour If it still goes ahead in may I don't know who's supporting them in Wellington
Superb set - love this. Their gig last year was definately one of the best gigs I've been to in years
