So there is VAR and it's ruled that goal is okay Funny that it's ****ed Utd over, but that goal was blatant handball.
I know. Hilarious really. That happens in the penalty box, by a defender, and it's a penalty, simple. They need to make their minds up ffs.
While the handball goal is a complete joke, United really should be winning this. If we go out it's down to our finishing but tbh I've enjoyed the way we've played. Looking good.
Apparently there was a rule 'tweak' in the summer that allows the goal to stand if it's ball to hand rather than the other way around. But, if there's any handball in the build up, then the goal is ruled out. So you can handle the ball some of the time, but not all of the time.
By build up, they mean the proceeding play, not the finish. I can only presume they viewed that handball as being part of the finish rather than the build up play. It's just made the rule even more confusing tbh But let's just agree that because it happened against your lot it's funny
