You could argue that it goes to show how many penalties are wrongly given for handball. Because the commentators are right, if that was a defender you would completely expect a penalty - because that's what we've become accustomed to. But at the same time, it was a total accident in my opinion. As so many handballs are.
Can't agree with that statement Tom, VAR has just confirmed the ref's decision was correct. It's decisions open to interpretation that are quite obviously biased. Not that I think it's right but if it annoys Utd, their fans and the commentators then it's a good rule.
Reading this morning that a London club (unnamed) were allowed to break the rules for the safety of a new young player they were signing. Owing to it becoming public knowledge that they were signing him, and owing to him living on an estate where it was felt he would be at risk, the club were allowed to rehouse his family in another part of London. Good to see the lad’s safety put first.
Have to feel a bit for Elanga though. He should never have been put in that situation - Ronaldo and Bruno are to blame for missing sitters.
