So a bit of blue sky thinking here.... Assume we will have a new stadium... say down by the Arena area when they bulldoze it..... Starting from scratch... looking ahead.... through a Saudi lens..... What realistic capacity could we build.. so that it doesn't look half empty like Citeh in the CL games.. or the mackems during any league game in the last two decades..... Here's a poll too for those who can't be arsed posting....
My view is 70,000. For a big game we will fill it. For a little game it will be 55-60k. They will go in big time for corporate hospitality too I think.
I say go in deep. 90k and I think we may start to fill it for big games when we get to champions league status. They have to keep ticket prices affordable which I think they will.
I suppose the Saudis will want to be bigger and better than the rest and also milk the revenue from big stadium gigs etc.... I feel for the small fry down the road as the odd gig they get now will go forever... and their income will drop further...
They could copy the architecture of SJP and double it so some poor ****s have to sit in level 14 and duck every time the KLM flight from Amsterdam to Edinburgh passes by
Don't expect an answer from GG anytime soon, I have a new avi and we all know he'll be fapping into a sock over it
