What are they after ? £350k won't get you a pad down here anymore. They'll get a decent 2-3 bed cottage or house, but if they want sea views and paddocks etc, they're gonna need to triple that budget
About 25 years ago, I had a mate who had a b&b in Newquay, one day we went over to Falmouth to do some diving, there were streets of the old style 7/8 bedroom b&b's for sale around £32,000 or less and they couldn't sell them as Falmouth had become a dead hole. Wish I'd got half a dozen of them now
I was looking to buy a 2 bed terrace there around 20 years ago, I had a budget of £80k. One came up and I put the full asking price offer in. Got a phone call later that day to say that a cash buyer from London had bought it for £120k. That house is probs worth about £250k now. Falmouth is a really nice town too, especially since the university went in there. Lots of bars, cafes, pubs, restaurants and plenty going on year round. And as you'll know, great beaches, rivers and creeks.
I know a few who gambled with property there, on the chance the university extension went ahead, paid off handsomely for them.
Things have fallen into place nicely tonight. Turns out the females of the household are off to see a show in Cardiff this evening, which I didn't know about, leaving me and my sons to our own devices. Gonna light the fire, crack open a beer and then United just happen to be live in the FA cop at eight o' clock. Which we'll win, obvs. Bit of an argument over tea; eldest wanted chinese, other son boaked at it, personally wanted the fancy looking burger place called Smokin' Griddle, but again, the little ****er wasn't having it. (they look superb @luvgonzo , one in Cardiff apparently?) Settled on Dominoes. We'll all eat it and I don't have to drive. Job done.
This argument has already been cleared up, it's called dinner Anyway mate, enjoy. Sounds like a perfect evening As long as Utd don't **** it up of course.
I forgot there was a cup game tonight & United were on, nice one @Chief as I’d have likely just flicked SS on out of habit and watched the delights of a Brum vs Sheff U.
Boro are solid under Wilder, I fancy them as a decent outside bet to get promoted. Could be a decent watch.
