Exactly since Monday apparently and rumours now that he signed the deal yesterday, its just journalists spouting **** because they haven't got a ****ing scooby doo
Agreed. The club has to keep it's options open as there is every chance than Keane could wake up one morning and think he doesn't need the hassle. I'm not a fan of McCann but that is probably more accentuated by the fact we all want Keane back at the club
i think keane will go for it personally, he is not the type of bloke to leave a job unfinished and probably regrets walking all those years ago (granted he had his reasons) and has said he would like to return at some point, should we kick on and get a couple of rapid promotions it could be years before he gets another chance...this is also a more 'mature' keane but he obviously still has that irish fire in him, anyone else right now would be seen as second best. very nicely written bit from LJ although i expected nothing less, his little dig about his contacts was probably not needed but i think we can allow him a little dig...i hold nothing against the bloke and hope all goes well for his future, but as with all managers/coaches i feel his time here was done, would love to see hom lose that 'streaky' tag and get it right in future.
but she can come back and finish you off next week whilst you enjoy your jermain Defoe pizza this weekend
What makes you say that? Everything I've heard thus far is positive Keane has been spoken to. He wants the job, we want him. There has been a verbal agreement and he apparently wanted some assurances about the "ownership group" which hopefully he has received. The club has spoken to other managers, which is absolutely the right thing to do, but Keane remains 1st choice I mean there is always the chance of something changing at the last minute, but at this stage it sounds promising Basically I've heard via a source not on this board that "the job is Roy's if he wants it" We just need to make sure all the bits fall in to place and we get him signed up. Gut feel is that nothing will be announced until next week
