You made out those odds were wrong (and tried to allude they are going for LJ) but the person who got the job was the bookies favourite.

you are so so way off the mark if you cant/ dont understand bookmaking maybe best not to comment!
lets [ like the "cube" simplify ..
a] I put up a post saying with an exclamation mark a ref LJ ... WBA
b ] You then put up a betting list with cant see name on list
c] I replied they have to build up some cash first .... nothing said so far about odds wrong or alluding they[ whoever they are ] are going for LJ. I did do a reply to WIZ's ODDS AT 25/1 no comments though
d] you said did bookies get it wrong ... thought was plan to get LJ the job....??? what the bookies!
e] I answered bet they lost on the book ...... changing odds
f] YOU CAME UP WITH ABOVE QUOTE!

Making a bookmakers book. .. in case you dont know!!!!
First thing they do is assess their profit margin 10- 30%? ... put up some odds start taking money. Punters come in all forms! ... clever, down to downright gullible!

10/11 means £11 on to win £10 so from a start almost on a winner.. !
assume 10 punters .. all want to win £1000
A bets STEVE and gives bookie £ 1100 and gets back including stake £2100 a profit of £1000
    4 x B bets TONY and gives him £167 x4 = about £670
    2 x C bets MIKE and gives him £100 x 2 = £200
    2 x D bets JOHN and gives him £85 x 2 =£170
    1 x E bets MICK and gives him £70 = £70
they collect £2210 and pay out 2100 = profit £120

they are also prepared to lose so may hope to lose no more than 30% so favourite is the balancing act reduce price to stop money open price to attract..
AFTER a couple days no chance to juggle odds ... they use absolutely no hopers to draw money ... imagine how many will bet if suddenly someone like Ranieri or Benitez suddenly appeared in the list at 7/1 ... 8/1 or even 2/1 how many would have a splash!

    JGF knows his stats.
Don’t get him on politics though - particularly don’t criticise Boris.

you can criticise who you like, but at least do it with a foundation. I have recently stated that [ in a round about way] KS in command at the time cannot outwardly be stated to have been responsible for JS getting off. But added the provisio's that "evidence has dissapeared/been destroyed but did apologise" When I am guilty of anything and warrants an apology I do ... when not guilty I do not, and that includes being in the "vicinity / aligned with" when some one else is said to be /is responsible albeit I may have been in the decision making circle but not involved.
Same goes for BORIS, I cant prove anything as not there, but certain things need to be looked into and circumstances reviewed as to why. Do I condemn him for "the garden party" ? Do I condemn him for the birthday party? at this point in time I
think until proven otherwise were not clever. Having said that I have the same opinion of KS .... drinks and snacks at the party office in DURHAM .. brushed off as work!

    Isn’t it a bit like:
Boris Johnson misled the electorate and the queen - basically lied
Starmer stole a lollipop so that makes him just as bad!!

KS instance was work at a constituency office, even most tories don’t dispute it. Boris wasn’t just one instance, there were many, again many of his own MP’s know it.

You can tell when Boris is not telling the truth, he opens his mouth and words come out. Likewise you can tell when he isn’t telling porkies, his mouth is shut.

He’s a poor journalist that’s all he is, when his back is against the wall he accuses other people of things, to try to deflect from his own predicament.

The Saville slur is another example, again his own MP”s don’t agree with him, even cabinet members have admitted they wouldn’t have said it, one of his closest civil servants whose been with him since he was Mayor quit saying he was out of order and should apologise.

No Roy Keane, now lost 3 on the bounce

They need someone to wrest control of the football club. The caretakers Mike Dodds and Michael Proctor do not want to be in charge for the game at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, but right now it looks like they probably will be.
The squad needs to be galvanised. The players' confidence has been shot to pieces and they're 11 points off top spot. They can ill-afford another defeat. They need someone to rescue it.

I wonder how much of a problem being 23 and an heir to £bn's might be? with no experience could be very difficult. It will be a 1 in 4 chance of us playing them next season!? I would have put it closer to almost a cert 4 games ago! I reckon with LJ in charge WOULD be in second place on 60 pts.

Darren Fergusson .. with spring coming the ice on the pond is melting, needs to get back on dry land before it thins and ........ splash! UUUUUUUMM could LJ rescue them should he go.... MAN CITY COMING UP!
