Filthy day here today, chucking it down but ... working from home which is a bonus ... was at the office in London yesterday with train, office and London back to pre-Covid 'normality' .. made me realise just how much I didn't miss the commute ... I think Covid has at last led to more flexible working patterns being recognised by employers. ... which will be good for the environment but not so much for the train companies ..
Happy New Year Bobz Do you celebrate Chinese new year ? There's a few kids of Chinese heritage at my daughter's school so we spent most of last week making paper lanterns and Tiger collages. It's good that a small rural school does that imo as I'm keen for my daughter to understand different cultures around the world.
lol London posties stagger around after accidentally eating a load of hash brownies https://metro.co.uk/2022/02/03/dazed-postmen-stagger-into-street-after-accidentally-eating-hash-brownies-16039128/?ito=facebook|social|metroukfacebook&fbclid=IwAR0763_OnY4BDDdrDk4Z-Pxc7AorB-jYhxK3D9sWNOts4gVlyefFeDLFQGs
yeah i celebrated it. Some good some bad. The weekend coincided with my birthday so i went home and stayed til Tuesday. Was a nightmare, had a nice dinner, then worked in the takeaway. Then Sun night, Mon night and Tues night as wfh and sorting my mums flat out cause she's useless and decided to get some tenants in before even looking at the flat. Guy was meant to leave Weds, left Sat and then she had new tenants coming in on Weds leaving 3 days for a professional cleaner, dumping a load of **** he left behind and buying new beds and mattresses. To rub it all in, the chinese new year dinner was a bit of a letdown. 170 quid suckling pig had ****ty rubbery skin (its meant to be crispy and lovely) Happy new year btw
Lanterns yes, not sure about the waving cats. Think they are there all year round and are like good fortune cats. I don't think it's chinese new year specific
