Cheers, Badg! They really are some of the best people at UHS - I was told (on the qt) that Southampton are down for one of the first proton beam centres when the study is done and they can roll it out.
I really hope they can get one - it’s particularly good for the youngsters. There are so many of them here

Went for a walk with the dogs this morning through the streets of Palma de Mallorca to go to a patisserie which sells really high quality bread. After my purchase I took a walk in the park which has facilities for five a-side fooball, and on the next court, basketball. This morning however, it was being utilised for cricket by four Pakistanis and an Indian. What struck me was the technical ability of these guys, the bowlers with a high straight arm, and the batter using his feet to get to the pitch of the ball. It was a pleasure to observé.

 

My missus is leaving me because of my obsession with TV Police dramas...

For the benefit of the tape, she just left the room!

Well, some people (about 30% or so if I remember rightly) were desperate to take us back to the “glory days” of the 70s when Britain was truly great and stood alone, not needing those pesky Europeans. So here we go ….. rising inflation, joblessness (well - employment figures are higher now, but then we didn’t have zero hour contracts then did we?) and a country on its knees ….. here it comes.
