Beat me to it Sparky, the Derby Del Boys appear to have ducked and dived and bought themselves another month.... Going to be an interesting few weeks again.
I doubt if we would receive the same consideration. Of course, it's Derby, it has so much history, they must be given every chance to be saved. No matter how crooked their previous owner may have been
I can't believe these fuggers are getting away so lightly, Bury and Bolton, and ourselves to a lesser degree, were never allowed breathing space. is it cos of high profile Rooney? and how much in expenses are the administrators racking up in the process? Liquidate them and be done with the cheating basterds.
Come on Robbie, don't hold back, speak your mind. Probably everyone involved is scared of Clough's shadow. I agree with you.
Not sure how they can be treated any differently to Bury. Not nice to see a club go to the wall but at the end of the day, if they aren't financially viable.......
The Bury comparison is a valid one despite so much being made of Derby being a founder member of the league. Although technically not a founder member, Bury had been in existence for over 135 years when they were kicked out - and for debts far less than Derby. I also think that the potential buyers have familiarised themselves with football here and are seeing a probable drop into league one as a deal breaker. They will have seen from the likes of Sunderland what a tough division it is to get out of in an upward direction. Cold feet on a number of issues I reckon.
Being cynical, the Snow Queens being liquidated and kicked out of the league would be positive for us. We have not played them yet so would not lose any points if this happened. Our close rivals more than likely have played them, gained points and would have them deducted. Our home game with them is 1st March. Coincidentally they have to prove their financial ability to finish the season by then. If they can't they could be out.
Good point Bluey. If they were chucked out and all their results expunged, I presume only 2 would go down? In that case Posh and Barnsley would both lose 3 points because they've both beaten them, and so would the Wurzels just above us. Also the Jacks and Reading would lose a point each because they drew. Yippee........we're safe!..........
Can imagine there being a bit of brinksmanship going on with everyone wanting the best deal. Not looking good for them though.
So the Wycombe and Boro claims are not football related matters. What are they then? Tiddlywinks? The administrators are totally deluded.
If they can, get them relegated then give them a 30 point deduction in league one just for being twats.
i can't believe how much leeway they're getting, lets hope it's coming to a conclusion with this news, and fug them off to oblivion
Really? https://fanbanter.co.uk/efl-respond...-surprise-proposal-in-bid-to-help-save-derby/ Who would in their right mind offer to be sued for millions? There’s no way he’d do that without having an indemnity in place to cover losing a civil claim.
