I haven't listened to the podcast yet but can you expand on that? What do you think Johnson's style was and how do you think it differed from what KLD and Speakman want?

That's not meant to sound challenging by the way, I'm genuinely interested in yours (and anyone's) thoughts on it.

Interest from all over the world and Lennon and a Hull reject are on the short list! Would hate it if Keano wasn't appointed and we got eirher of those!

We could’ve had him for around £8m if I remember correctly but thought it was too much so didn’t press on!

Just that he said the footballing philosophy and style of play was a factor in the sacking - so I'm saying it sounds like they didn't like it.

  8. I've listened to it mate. I think he was talking mainly about the lack of consistency in the performances. Interesting to hear the recruitment dept. have been scouting other coaches as well as players,as part of their duties.

I took it as lack of consistency - big wins at home but very patchy away form. Looks like the streaky tag has bitten him again.

No. It’s just what someone on RTG reckons.

I’d be devastated if we got either of them.

Both would be reasonable appointments in the Parkinson/Grayson mould (i.e ****e) but it would seem even worse after all this Roy Keane stuff

Didn't we get spanked by Bolton just before he walked?

    Let's not even mention Everton.

We all remember the good days but very few of us seem to remember the bad. And there were plenty of those.

Yep fan base would be on a downer after the Keane hopes.

These other names are Donald type appointments. Dull boring etc.

Yup. To be fair, the majority of appointments in L1 are underwhelming
