I thought the whole idea of Bonsai was to keep em short.

I've saw some amazing ones at a Japanese park in Vancouver. Little diddy Maple trees that were over a 100 years old.

Always wanted to try it but if this goes tits up I'll probs just buy a small one already established and cheat cos I still want to take it up even if I ca mnt do from seed

Yeah, seeing your lad get his honours is the good bit, but having to sit through watching everybody else do the same must be a bit tedious.
