Good Morning. It's Thursday 3rd February, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Trio back in training Leeds Utd gave their fans something to cheer about after posting several pictures of Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Charlie Cresswell back in training. Phillips and Cooper have been out of action since the Brentford game in early December when respective hamstring injuries would see them sidelined, with a return to action expected in March. U23 skipper Cresswell suffered a freak shoulder injury in training around the same time. please log in to view this image West Ham blocked Randolph move West Ham blocked a move to bring Republic of Ireland shot stopper Darren Randolph to Elland Road last month on loan. The 34yo has fallen down the pecking, and is now 3rd choice behind Lukasz Fabianski and Alphonse Areola. He returned to the London Stadium in 2020 after three years at Middlesbrough, but has only managed five appearances during that time. Leeds were keen to find a back-up keeper in case of injury to Illan Meslier. Kristoffer Klaesson is currently their No 2, but the Norwegian U21 International is yet to show his full potential. please log in to view this image Salzburg insider names Aaronson's price Salzburg Soccer journalist Alexander Bischof is adamant that RB Salzburg will accept an offer in the region of 20m for USA International Brenden Aaronson, but not until this season is concluded. Although the Whites had a 15m and a 20m turned down last month for the 21yo, Bischof believes it will be a different story in the Summer. If this is the case, why haven't Leeds already secured Aaronson's services for next season, by having an agreement in place? "Salzburg won't give him away for much less than £20 million "They still want to keep Aaronson and also have many professionals who can play in Aaronson's position - for example [Noah] Okafor, [Luka] Sucic," "Although, there is hope for a summer bid in principle, Salzburg does not want to give away any players in the winter. But after the end of a season, you don't put anything in the way of players who want to take the next step in their career. And you also need the millions to be able to continue running the business." please log in to view this image
I still don't know if Aaronson is any good but he has to be better than the form shown by the other candidates in midfield. I'd be happy to off Rodrigo and replace him with the kid.
Morning all Strange we’re suddenly after a new reserve keeper, are we going to see the back of our U23 keeper this summer? It really does reflect the lack of depth in our squad when a team won’t allow their third choice to depart yet we rely on an U23 as backup. I also thought it was a little strange when Meslier played the cup games. I’ve no idea about Aaronson either and there have been a lot of players we never went back for, if Bielsa is remaining another year maybe we will but you’d have to question it if we have a new guy. Good to hear Phillips is back in training but I’m not fussed over the other two, I’d prefer Struijk, Llorente and Koch to battle it out for two spots. I’m more concerned about Bamford, no sign of being back in training and it’s hard to keep fit with a foot injury not to mention the time he’s already had off.

Llorente.. Koch.. Pascal... Hjelde and cressy. Sorry but to me we need to be looking to now and the future. Cooper has had his time with us. Plus we could still get a fee for him. If we sell pascal i will go nuts.
Depends which division we’re in. If we end up getting relegated, Llorente and Koch will leave. Struijk will maybe stay, as he’s still young and can also cover DM because Phillips will also be gone. Cooper will be useful in the Championship, with Cresswell and Hjelde also staying. Whilst I’m being negative I can see the following players leaving if we go down: Raphinha, Phillips, Llorente, Koch, Rodrigo, Firpo, Bamford and James.
